That could be but why not take a look. - VANTEL
He's a lot like Hansen was. Has some tools, good in a defensive role, but I don't think he's got the upside to play top 6, and there's nothing wrong with that. |

He's great because he also plays against worse competition. Putting him on Bo's line means tougher assignments.
He's scored 5 goals already, why move him from that spot? Let that bottom 6 marinate. - NewYorkNuck
Exactly. We all complain about how bad the bottom 6 is, now you want to remove the best player in that group? |

Ya Pearson to 3rd line looks good and Rousell should sit for a bit. Maybe Gaudette back in on 4th line? - LordHumungous
I'd like to see them try Gaudette on the wing. Less D responsibility.
Was reading on the Province about Gaudette, basically saying if they're sitting him, and don't see him as a long term option at center, he's a good trade piece. The Canucks are weak down the center, but could always get a 3C in free agency. |

He made Pietrangelo look pretty ordinary in the playoffs.

Is it remove or reward? For the record I don't complain about the bottom 6 I don't mind Sutter Roussel or Beagle. |

IIRC there was a player a couple years ago that was CRUSHING it for Detroit in their bottom 6. Scoring at a top 6 rate. They moved him to the top 6 and it dried up because they could play better players against him.
Motte's great, love him, but he's fine where he is. He scores greasy goals. He's no Sutter out there. |

And Brandon Sutter has looked like 2020 Petey out there this year, while Petey has looked like 2020 Sutter.
If this is Motte's coming out party, all for it. I just don't think bumping Pearson when they've won two in a row with a balanced attack is the best plan. |

His reward is the 16 minutes of icetime per game and PK role which allows him to get paid 1.2 million. |

Pearson has done next to nothing all year. He will be gone at the end of the year. Take a look at Motte if it does not work you can always go back.

Because he is clearly top line talent. Our bottom 6 looks good once they get rid of Beagle, Roussel, Sutter, Gaudette and Virtanen. |

I don't know many teams that put their top goal scorer on their fourth line but this is Vancouver. |

So, Sutter should also be in the top 6, as he is top 4 on team in goals. |

In his last 26 games (Playoffs included)he has 9 goals. Am I trolling? Bo Petey and JTM are the only others to do that.
The guy is showing he has a scoring touch. |

Yeah, and he's scoring plenty in his current role. The only reason you move him up is if you think he has more to give, but as others have said, I think if you put him against tougher competition, his scoring will go down.
Why remove depth scoring when we already have a top 6 fully capable of putting up points? |

Just accept that Motte & Sutter should be playing in the top 6 and not wasting their exceptional talent in the bottom 6. The armchair GM's understand that. |

It is like pulling teeth.
He has been your fourth best forward in the last 26 games . TAKE A LOOK SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING THERE.

Probably same day as your head scout interview?
