I'm waiting for the right GM to work with. - manvanfan
Benning is a pushover.

Because he is clearly top line talent. Our bottom 6 looks good once they get rid of Beagle, Roussel, Sutter, Gaudette and Virtanen. - Marwood
and replace them with Loui, Sven, Bailey, Lind, and Michalis??
OR
do you mean by getting rid of those guys then we free up 14 mil for JB to PICK UP THE PHONE!!
either way - these are just great suggestions |

One name that hasn't been talked about too much is Hawryluk. He's on LTIR, anyone know the timeline for him?
He's been kicked around the league a little, up and down stats, but I remember reading Benning was pretty high on him in his draft year. He's still young-ish at 25. |

that's definitely the reason.
in all seriousness I would sit Jake for 5 games and see what Bailey/Michalis/Lind can actually do |

The media loves to mock Vancouver Canucks fans, and judging by the posts in here I can certainly understand why.
Lordy is spot on by continually (ad nauseam) referring to team whiner.
The team had a really poor showing in the 1st period and was bailed out by Demko, the rest of the way they played entertaining hockey.
You guys do realize that other teams will get opportunities, shots on net, possibly get around Canuck players, but even when the Canucks player makes a great play or diffuses a breakup, nothing from the peanut gallery, nothing.
The opposition get by the Canuck player and holy poop, he’s crap, paid to much, Benning (frank)ed up by signing him.
I’m a stats expert and every time this guys sits with his legs crossed his numbers show he will get blue balls, it’s right there, stats don’t lie.

I'm not even sure what his injury is. Upper or lower something or another.

Talk about invisible, Virtanen is just a body floating out there. Would like to see what the other guys bring too. Or even try Gaudette in his spot. |

Woah woah woah, I think you've got JV all wrong. Work is not his thing.
If this were the 80s this would be Jake on the weekend:

He hasn't been talked about because he fawking terrible. This guy was signed primarily to play in Utica - nothing more, he's Francis Perron 2.0
Some of the Van media guys talked about him through the first few days of training camp and it was bad, really bad. If he's in our lineup we're in trouble. |

TG has asked him to play defence and in his 8 minutes last night, No scrolling chances for the Sens while he was on the ice. |

Absolutely - its a shame bcus the kid got some skill, great shot, speed and when he's engaged he can be effective, he's just so inconsistent. Last year about 15 games into the season you could really see Miller was rubbing off on him - he was improving in a lot of areas but I haven't seen any of that in awhile. He should be playing every game like its his last. |

I don't know many teams that put their top goal scorer on their fourth line but this is Vancouver. - VANTEL
I know a few teams that put their top scorers on the 5th line (bench) for several minutes and/or periods, so there is that
