how the pendulum swings when they beat a powerhouse like ottawa.
fickle bunch is exactly right. - RealityChecker
Other than Montreal (so far) this division is about equal talent wise, any team can beat any team on any given night.

Pearson has done next to nothing all year. He will be gone at the end of the year. Take a look at Motte if it does not work you can always go back. - VANTEL
For sure he has earned a look at least. I mean hey, Green gave JV a shot on the 2nd line no??

Toronto and Montreal have been the two best teams in our division (threw up in my mouth a little) but here's their bottom 6s
Armia - Kotkaniemi - Perry
Lehkonen - Evans - Byron
Vesey - Kerfoot - Simmonds
Anderson - Boyd - Engvall
This is what bot 6 looks like - (in general) tell me which guys (not just Vantel) anyone here is jealous of or would want on our team????

If the desire is to trash and bash a player that makes a mistake, Hughes, Pettersson should be dragged through the mud and stepped on, spit on, not Myers, Beagle, Benn, Roussel, Virtanen. |

i think all those players have taken criticism. i'm pretty sure "pouty" is the new nickname for the player some wanted as captain.
as to why they (ep and qh) seem to get less vitriol, i'm gonna guess and say it's because the team's fortunes ride on them. it's easier to give leeway to the guys who drive the bus over the passengers.

Personally I would take Montreal's entire bottom six (except Perry) over all our guys, look at their ages, only Byron is older but he scored three consecutive 20 goal seasons in recent years. |

I think soon as Podkolzin comes here within two weeks will be playing on Bo's line. So someone needs to hold his spot until he gets here.
Pearson has 47 games (and playoffs if they make it) as a Canuck left . He is on pace right now to end the year with 6 goals. Of course they had a terrible start so his scoring should pick up a bit.
I seen a disturbing stat the other day and can't remember who or where but they pointed out that Pearson was closing in on thirty games without a goal that was not an empty net goal. He has been pretty middle of the road.
I suggested give Motte a look to see if you can boost the energy of the second line but like most things on here will get blown way out of proportion and six years from now we will still be bringing it up.
It is funny but anytime anything new gets mentioned like not sending Hughes or Petey to Utica for a year or suggesting Hoglander try out with Bo it goes down in HockeyBuzz lore. |

We are still 4-5 on the season. It's not un heard of to be in the negative on goal differentials despite a couple good games when you still have a losing record. |

Typically highend offfensive players always lead the league in turnovers because A) they have the puck a lot B) because they're always trying to create. I think McJesus lead the league last year.
When your bottom six guys turn it over it's a bigger issue. Our number one line has been brutal with turnovers this year though. |

Motte Bo Hogs
Pearson has been invisible mostly move him to Jakes spot
JTM Petey BB
Motte Bo Hogs
Pearson Sutter Bailey
Roussel Beagle Jake/Zack - VANTEL
Pearson hasn't scored much but that line has been good (eye test and fancy stats) - Motte seems to be driving the third line in many ways by himself so I would rather they keep as is. Not sure Pearson would be as effective in that role - likley better suited riding shot gun with Bo and Hoggs. |

Keep trying... |
