Owner said not his health - VANTEL
Probably wanted to do some crazy trades and spend more draft picks to milk everything out of Crosby and Malkin they can. We on the west coast know that's not a good idea. |

Not disagreeing with you, but at least those 2 can keep up with the pace of the game. |

Thanks Carol!
I have a theory on Petterson's struggles and agent change are a result of some bad advice from his agent as a means of squeezing more money out of Bauer during training camp (which seems to have worked by the way, since he's one of the first three players photographed in an all black Bauer skate labeled "Prototype"). Spent all week using a stick he never intended to play with and now pucks are bouncing and his handling skills seem to lack the usual swagger we've seen in years past. Not that the struggles will last, but thats my theory on the slow start - WhiteLie
Interesting. So he switched back and that has him off? |

I was being sarcastic, those two are still really good players. Top 20 in the league still. |

Ya, I knew you were being sarcastic, but I wanted to take a shot at the Sedin's.😁 |

Jim Rutherford says decision is not health-related. But won't elaborate on why he stepped down.
``I don’t think it serves anybody well. I’ve been treated first-class here and I really appreciate and respect what they’ve done for me. That’s the way I want to leave the Penguins.’’ |

Last day of camp he was nearly all CCM, game 1 onwards all Bauer. Some guys are nonchalant with their gear but you hear a lot of stories about top guys having very specific specs and being very particular so it wouldn't surprise me if its messed with his muscle memory and he's been overthinking things so far.
Again, just theorizing, but in a season without preseason games seems like a bad idea that had to have an agent's involvement |

He's been there what, 6 years? He's in his 70s, he probably doesn't need it. Like he said, get out before you wind up ending on bad terms. |

I get the new gear theory and agree... though it can go both ways. So is he still breaking in the Bauer? Haven't noticed if he's back to the CCM. |

The Jets are in 3rd with 10pnts and next game is Saturday against the Canucks.
As bad as the Canucks start has been, if they sweep the Sens, they could take 3rd spot.
Where as the Oil and Flames struggle with more games against the Leafs and Habs. |

I think Petey is using the same Bauer stick he had last season but you may be on to something with his skates. There is an adjustment period on equipment changes even at the pro level. Petey was using TRUE sticks a few years back maybe he needs to ditch Bauer and go back with old reliable? lol
I bought one of Petey's old pro stock 'TRUE' sticks online and man it's unreal good...93 mph!! |
