Thanks Carol. Nice that you gave Holtby some props for his assist. Believe it or not, it probably meant something to him as a Goalie who likes to play the puck. Not that we're comparable as Goalies, but I always took pride in how many points I had at the end of the season. - Load Management
I wonder what Bubble Demko thinks, overall nice performance by both goalies last 3 games 116 shots against 3 goals. |

They don't want to "rebuild" they want to retool, which is what he did very well in Vancouver as he already had the major pieces, which he would have in Pittsburgh. - Pacificgem
Apparently Hextall has the inside track, that will make die hard Philly fans burn their Hextall jerseys. |

It was Ottawa - VANTEL
True but 116 shots against, that in it self is impressive for a lousy team, Canucks could only manage 95. |

Ottawa has beat the Leafs and taken the Jets to OT
The only team to win by more than three goals against the Sens are the Canucks.

The shots against per game is troubling. I'm worried about overall fatigue for the goalies as the season wears on.
LM should chime in but facing that many shots per game in combination with a condensed schedule is something to monitor. That goes especially for a young goalie like demko. If only from a mental standpoint, this season is going to be grueling on the goaltenders. |

Again you need assets to do that. Jim Rutherford used them all. What assets would Gillis have in his pocket?
Pens have had three first round picks since 2012.
Pouliot, Samuel Poulin , and Kapanen who they have used a first round pick twice to get . - VANTEL
I'm sure he'd figure it out, it doesn't cost a first round pick for depth guys. He picked up Higgins, Lappy, Torres, Hamhuis, Ehrhoff, etc. for peanuts. |

Nobody is planning the parade because of these three games. EVERY team is going to pick up these points or be ashamed if they don't (I'm looking at you Toronto).
I consider these the much needed exhibition games that we missed out on to apply structure and systems from practice in a real game situation. |

I don't really care where he lands as long as it has nothing to do with Vancouver.
Pens are a team going nowhere so it might be a good fit . Rutherford has been driving them into the ground Gillis can finish the job.

Me neither, I don't follow them but just from a quick glance they need better goaltending, their defence is pretty suspect and Malkin isn't really interested yet. I'm sure they still have some life left in them though, they're 4-3-1 after eight games and they had 40 wins last year in 69 games. |

A couple wins against the worst team in the league = Firing on all cylinders. Dear god, start planning the parade while you're at it |

I wonder how many GMs still consider him an arrogant butt plug?
Anyways I don't think either of us care enough to give a sh1t about Gillis or his landing spot. |

Need 1st still and the occasional 2nd rounder. A scouting department that doesn't suck. That's why JB did it so well. |
