We need to beat the Habs next series.
- Nighthawk

Josh Anderson left tonights game, flu symptoms. Another Covid test tomorrow. He has been everything the Habs wanted.

Reading the posts until now, games over, they outshot a “better team”, and held the Jets to 24 shots, I think the defence did pretty good. The entire team played well.
- Makita

They did...sustained pressure for most of the game, played with tempo and cut back on the stupid give-always. Solid tending from Demko. Very good game to start the trip!

He’s been much better than expected and in terms of how he played in Utica. Looks quite calm out there - always making the smart, low danger play. That’s all I want from him - now if Benn Myers and Schmidt would follow suit
- Brooks_Light

Benn has been remarkably good since being re-inserted back in the line up. Myers and Schmidt looked better as the game wore on.

I missed most of the second, but yes, cut down on chances against considerably in the third. There were still a few at both ends in the third but both goalies were sharp.

Was thinking if this is the way the Jets want to play the Canucks matchup well. In the past it was always a “heavy” team but last night they played quick and were willing to trade chances.

The last few games Canucks have cycled the puck extremely well.

Canucks were out chanced last night 32-24 but won the high danger 11-6.

That’s the first time I’ve seen the Jets play this season, I was pumping their tyres, up until last night, they looked “just ok”. They’ll be better I’m assuming when PLD arrives, kids a good player.

Canucks played a solid game last night, very impressed with the effort with and without the puck. Demko didn’t have to be a saviour, he was just solid.

In the long run they need to cut down on those chances right in front. Demko made some great stops and Jets fired wide several times. But a much better game all around.

I prefer Jake to Gaudette on the wing. Just not on Sutter's wing.

Nobody scores with Sutter anyways, so it doesn't really matters who's on his wing.

Canucks played a great game last night. Other teams are going to get chances. Good goalies will give you the chance to win.

Jets are a steady team, they don't have bad games like the Canucks but I don't know if they have the upside of the Canucks without the defence.

Now that Baumer has fixed up the D to keep Myers from getting tanked night in and out. Myers and Hughes really is ugly together though.

100%....Jake gets way too much flak, or is it flack, if you take his draft position away he's a good bottom six forward who can and does contribute offensively. His offensive numbers have gotten better and better every year.

Trade him then. He's either stupid, doesn't care or both.

1.2 mil for Hamonic for two games

That is perfectly fine though, I hope Chatty wins the spot.

With their firepower, the Jets, they'll outscore their defensive liabilities. I mean, look at their top six, and then add PLD, that's one of the best top six in the Scotia North or the entire NHL.
