another sloppy/slowish 1st period start to the Canucks last night, but man is it nice to see them dominate the last two periods. Lots to like about how they have played over their last 4 games.

Jake got most of his goals last year playing in the top 6 . He will not get that opportunity this year. He would probably score around 10 goals this year.

Canucks are doing exactly what they should be doing . They are giving very little attention to a player that gives very little effort.

Hughes has also probably given up the most scoring chances also. He has not been good in his own end.

At some point everyone's replaceable, I don't know how long his leash is with Canucks management. If he had Hoglander's motor he'd be a much better player. He's talented but he's hockey dumb, no IQ for the game. Despite that, he can provide secondary scoring.

JV is never going to score with Sutter as his center. I mean no one does. Sutter needs an elite tough playmaker.

He still faced 100 NHL shots and has given up 3 goals . He was also putting up numbers like this against Vegas and last night Winnipeg.

Here is an interesting number out of the Ottawa camp. They are -19 in goals for and against . Canucks are responsible for 13 goals of that number. The other five games they were -6 combined against teams of TOR x 2 and Wpg . They also beat Tor and went to OT against WPG.

It is basically the Canucks that have made them look like they don't belong.

#mnwild acknowledge for the first time that Marco Rossi's upper-body issue is complications from having COVID-19 in November.

There's no timetable for his return, but he'll return to MN in March.

How he was cleared by Zurich, then Team Austria is my big question.
