Dan Hamhuis is familiar with the Canucks Nashville and Dallas . He has seen a variety of styles was a very good Dman.
I know the dislike for old Canuck Alumni in here but fuk it. He also just recently left the game.

Jay Bouwmeester is another guy who was a really good Dman and recently left the game. Cgy St.L Fla

That's what I am thinking I like the Hamhuis idea for sure, I think Bouwmeester may need a year or two after the health scare and subsequent retirement. I think we need someone who thinks of the defense as defend to create offensive opportunities and not just "protect the house". That's how you give up too many shots.

I think either way there will be coaching changes after the season, both of the assistants could go any time as far as I am concerned
