I think getting LAF kind of messed that up for them. Bet prior to knowing theyd get him, they were probably in the works to name someone. However, I think theyre probably giving LAF every opportunity to take the reigns to name him the captain of this team for the next 15 years.

I don’t know. Look at Winnipeg apparently their Captain Wheeler treated Laine like such crap that he wanted out. Not sure just having a captain solves everything.

Honestly we don’t need this in the lockerroom. Tony has been atrocious since the bubble. We don’t need the headache and the culture in that room is crucial. To many young kids developing and we don’t need the distraction. I think we need to know more but I don’t mind this decision at all. Idc what season he had last year he’s been more bad than good.

I was talking to Jimmy about this..I think the plan is to give Laf the C when he’s ready. They would have to strip someone of it at that time, and you don’t wanna do that either.

I don’t think you know the make up of the Rangers. We’re deep on the right side. Trouba, Fox, ADA, Nils and Schneider.

They are in need of someone to play the lef
t side, though Miller and Lindgren are staples, now and for the future.

But I doubt this is Dunn related.
