I just listened to an Eliotte Friedman podcast about the situation, he's made several inquiries on what happened. To the best of his knowledge, De Angleo said something derogatory to the goaltender in the locker room and the goaltender punched him and they went at it.

On what happened Saturday night, leading up to the waiver placement:

"Saturday night, Rangers-Penguins. Ten seconds before the winning goal is scored, Georgiev and DeAngelo have a mixup, a miscommunication behind the net. Sidney Crosby gets in between them, and the Rangers players who are already on the ice for a while and noticeably exhausted can't get off. Crosby scores, and the Penguins win in overtime."

"They go off the ice, Georgiev is sitting, disappointed -- like any competitive person, especially a goaltender, would be after a game like that -- and DeAngelo walks by him and makes a sarcastic crack to him, and Georgiev clocks him. They go at it, and their teammates break it up. Later that night, the Rangers call DeAngelo

- Pacificgem[or his agent] and they say, 'That's the last straw. You're going on waivers tomorrow.' And then at noon ET [on Sunday], that's what happens."

poop show.

Yeah the story is there was a misplay between DeAngelo and Geogiev that led to Crosby scoring the overtime goal. They were arguing on their way down the tunnel and Tony went at Geogiev at which point Kreider stepped in and clocked him

The guy is a moron, he was told by the team to stop posting on twitter because he's a huge Trump supporter and kept retweeting crazy conspiracy theories.

After Trump got removed from Twitter he said he was leaving the platform but then fans discovered he was still posting under the name "NYRFan92360244" arguing with people who were saying the team should trade him

Well... actually you're wrong, Lord.
Only 50 percent of teams get punted in round one...

DeAngelo clears waivers and Chaison (Edm) put on waivers.

Seeing how this year is playing out I suggest keep away from waiver pick ups and keep away from trading for players.

I like the way the Canucks prospects are trending so no need to go dumpster diving .

He had 53 points in 63 games & was +12 last year as a dman. So he clearly has proven he's capable. I've heard Ranger fans say he's horrible in his own zone. If he got his sh$t together he could a valuable player for sure. But that Rangers team are a train wreck - I watched their OT vs the Pens the other night - it was some of the worst hockey I've ever witnessed, like my beer league team could've outplayed them. Howden, Kakko, Lafreniere, Zibanejad, Trouba all off to brutal starts, I love it.

There's some talent on that team but clearly some locker room issues. They need to change the culture in there ASAP!

Possible. Most teams that make the PO's have a shot of getting punted in Round 1

Larry Brooks: “Post has learned that it was K’Andre Miller who broke up the tussle in runway leading to room.”

Three sources have said that DeAngelo has had issues with defenseman K’Andre Miller and that one issue didn’t sit well with multiple players in the organization.

I guess it tracks that he would be a racist as well. Miller has barely started his NHL career and he's already had to deal with so much poop, have to feel bad for the kid.

You want to talk country club. Zibinejad, Bread man, Kreider and Trouba are the leaders of that team.

fair enough....cancer culture!!

Trouba wanted out of Winnipeg.
Fox didn't want to play for Calgary.
Lemieux didn't want to play for Buffalo or Winnipeg.
Panarin didn't want to play for Columbus.
DeAngelo terrible human being.

I had read something last night, where the article implied that the Ranger might be pushing the league for a lengthy suspension for DeAngelo, under the leagues diversity policy.
For some reason I can't find it today.

When Podz comes over, Van's culture will change some more. Got hit solidly 2 times along the boards in the Ozone cycling the puck, puck goes around and he gets out to the blue line to knock down a pass and pass it over to his teammate for a good chance and guy hits the goalie in the crest.

If the NHL does step in I hope that he is suspended . That said NYR still keep the cap hit.

I had Boldy ahead of him by a spot but Boldy, Podz, McMichael, Zegras were all in the same tier for me. They just offer different skill sets from one another but have the same worth to a team.

The game sheet just said the hits were 17-4 for Dynamo over SKA. I've seen Podz throw two hits himself at least and Fatburger has a couple. Might be a bit of bias there since the game is being played in Dynamo.

It's the Rangers, so they will be given another top 3 pick.
