If the NHL does step in I hope that he is suspended . That said NYR still keep the cap hit.

If they were smart they'd just buy him out and be done with it. 1.6 aav for the next two years isn't so bad.

Edit: this year and next year I should say

It's the Rangers, so they will be given another top 3 pick.

Unfortunately for the Rangers, the buyout window is closed, unless it is an MTA.

Opportunity for them to back up what their talk over the offseason about diversity and equal treatment. Launch an investigation, then kick him out of the league.

I just checked to see what his buyout cost is and something doesn't seem right on Cap Friendly but could be because of his age. Showing his base salary is 5.3 but his buyout cost is very low as low as 383 K next year and 883 K the following year for a cap hit of 1.26 mil only.

Can't buy him out until next year.

Gaudy #s:

Demko stopped 100 of the 103 shots he faced, going 3-0-0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and .971 save percentage to guide the Canucks (6-5-0, 12 points) to a 4-0-0 week.

#KHL: An odd story -- Dinamo Riga have released D Jordan Murray after he reportedly went into the Avangard Omsk dressing room prior to a recent game and stole one of Ilya Kovalchuk's sticks for a souvenir.

I was looking at SJ contracts

I have a feeling Kane or Burns will be a Seattle Kracken next year.

Looked pretty good last game. I haven't disliked his play this year. Canucks fed him to the wolves the first two weeks.

Dynamo wins 2-0.

Shipyacov or however you spell it, the player that Vegas brought over and Gallant didn't like him. He's really good in the KHL. Had a few big hits too. 33 years old though now. Leading the league in scoring and his line mate Dmitri Jaskin leading goal scorer in the league.

That NMC.
Him and Vlasik have one so they are retiring in SJ .

I think with the flat cap for at least 2-3 years I wonder if teams will try to handcuff Seattle into taking big salaries? They could end up having problems fitting under the cap

Not sure how Seattle would have any problems? They can take whoever they want that isn't protected – so prospects are still up for grabs (like Lind). I'm pretty sure they can take guys on the last year (month) of their deal too, so won't even count against their cap.

Don't think Seattle will have any cap problems at all.

Francis loves drafting, so if picks are available and the player isn't horrible, i could see them taking 4 or 5 cap dumps.
