Also, some terrible numbers that back up the eye test of how bad that first line was:
After looking like their usual selves against Winnipeg, the Lotto Line was outshot 9-1 at five-on-five and controlled a 6.5 percent share of expected goals against Montreal. Yeah, you read that right — six-and-a-half percent! In the end, they were scored on three times in less than six minutes together.
They were mercifully broken up midgame but the results didn’t improve with the shakeup. When the night was said and done, the Canucks had been outshot 16-3 with Elias Pettersson on the ice at five-on-five.
The high danger chances were 8-0 with Miller deployed. |

Yeah unlike you I don't get a stiffy when my team stinks that night. I am sure if we had Tanev and Markstrom we would win the cup because we have won so much in the past with them before.
Sedins and Luongo have won one game since 2007 in Montreal . One game.
Anyways fans like you are getting to see the type of hockey you deserve from your team. Enjoy pissing on what you call your team. |

Bottom 6 now 14 goals in 12 games.
Last night was mostly on Hughes and Miller. Millers line stunk and Hughes needs to learn to play D quickly.
I turned it off at 5-1 . |

Bottom 6 isn't the problem.
Elias was was almost as bad as Miller, who i thought had a few PLD like shifts(no effort). Hughes has played maybe 2 decent games and yes, he is a terrible defender.
I continued watching, because I still enjoy watching the hustle and effort from Beagle and Motte. Those 2 have been the Canucks most consistent this year. |

I agree . I have said many times this team will be successful or fail on what Petey Hughes Miller Bo and Demko do , not on what the bottom six do.

That is a hell of an idea . I would try Bailey still because of his size and speed instead of Jake .

Jake actually played ok last night, Bailey in for Gaudette if they stick with normal lines.
Bailey is definitely a player I want to see and soon. |

Not sure if I am the only one on here that was disappointed to see Miller, Hughes and Pouty on the ice in the 3rd period?
Some time sitting on the bench watching players put in the effort and play safer hockey, might be what they need. |

She's missing a single piece.
She just asked if we could buy a bigger dining room table so she could do larger puzzles. - manvanfan
Plywood and a thin piece of felt to cover it. Then when she’s not doing a puzzle you can put it in the garage for poker. |

I watched the whole game.
Nobody watches it for Beagle, he had one good play and was otherwise invisible, yes invisible for Beagle means he's playing a solid game, but nothing exciting or noteworthy. I call bs on you watching the game because of Beagles dangles.... unless you enjoy watching paint dry or grass grow.

They looked great against the jets, that was impressive. But ya, Montreal just exposes our young players with the pressure. They make mistakes happen, it’s not just some coincidence - neem55
The Jets did the same thing, but Demko was better and Jets forward missed the net a lot. All these games are closer than what a lot of people are willing to see/admit. |

Way to go Red Green, did you use duct tape to hold it all together?

I disagree. 1) Prezzy 2) the bottom six (plus lui and bear) are the reason the top six can’t be better. |

I watched the whole game. Final was 6-2.
Courtesy of Natural stat trick the expected goals for last night was 2.16 for MTL and 1.36 for Van. Van still shooting themselves in the foot. |
