can you imagine? this would be maximum LOLZ! - RealityChecker
Pretty much. There’s literally nobody here competent to take over if they fire Green, so unless there is someone who’s already in BC, there’s a minimum 7 (to 14) day quarantine required by the league. |

Nope. Was the right call. - LordHumungous
They will replace Pearson this year also.
We have rolled with Tanev and Markstrom for years and we had the same slumps and the same shot problems. I would start looking at the style of play because they do have the talent.

I would be great to see Benning do something unconventional, like acquire an asset for him. I know it's a tall order but...

It’s part of the ‘mixed messages’ from Benning. Last year he blew a lot of sunshine about how important it was to support the team, give them the best chance for something special - re Toffoli. Then, in the offseason he basically says those guys don’t matter, we’re going with a bunch of rookies instead... - 1970vintage
I don't know about that. He said that when he acquired Toffoli on the assumption that Boeser wouldn't play again in the season. He could see the team was going to fall out of a playoff spot and wanted to try something to fix that. He never said anything at the time about keeping Toffoli long-term as far as I remember.
Doesn't seem very mixed. |

He said it was important to support the team any way he could. Miller certainly felt that walking away from Markstrom (Team MVP), Tanev (Dad) and Toffoli (the guy who actually helped the top 6) was a mistake.
Personally, I don’t think it was a mistake. It’s what had to happen because of how badly they planned for their salary cap space. |

Canucks have about 8 guys that are going to require waivers next season. At least 5 of them are deserving of seeing NHL action to see if they have what it takes. |

Good point. I didn't think it would, but it seems to have really messed with the locker room chemistry. The bad losses are amplifying it. |

So Miller is now a cancer in the dressing room. |

For what? .
I guess you are assuming Canucks are not making the playoffs so what do you think they would get for a player that has 3 goals against a goalie in his last thirty games?
Then you need to figure out who you are going to take with that fourth round pick in a weak draft with limited scouting watching limited players.

Don’t know - he did mention in that interview that was posted that he was confused, or disappointed with the off season decisions. |

Exactly...and Edler too. I said close to 4 seasons ago that the next 'big' step will be after Edler and Tanev were gone and we are almost there. Markstrom I would have been ok with at 5.5 X 4 years but it wasn't to be. No biggy. |

Well it was nice to get one good year out of him, hopefully JB trades him before his value decreases. |
