4 more I think.

Hopefully not for a while. My common sense and dignity could use a bit of a break from us playing the Habs.

I love how they panned to Green and you could read his mind.. "Ah (frank), these idiots are gonna get me fired."
- NewYorkNuck

...Yup. Plus Benn in over OJ on B2b...JV no leash.. not helping. But dam the execution and Kyptonite Habs with no practice have just awful results.

No, that was my Dad's team not mine.

I'm happy for TT, being the 3rd line sh*tty skater he is.

Toffoli leads the NHL in goals scored. Better yet, just his goals scored against Vancouver are enough to tie him w Mcdavid for the lead. LMFAO

I wonder how many he will get next year when he is not playing Canucks 9 times.

I've been expressing my issues with him since game 1 of last season when he preached 3 scoring lines in the preseason and then did his usual 3 shut down lines instead. I had other issues as well.

SN650 claims it was acknowledged by Green that the players were instructed to give up the shots to Vegas as long as they kept them to the outside. It resulted in the team being hemmed into their own end all night long for a number of games and a embarrassing exit. I don't think 650 is making the quotes up because a fabrication like that would create some backlash. I never heard the quotes but I hold the coaches responsible for this strategy of playing in their own end all night as long as the shots are from the outside. Since then, the players haven't been buying in at all...

It reminds me of AV in the playoffs. Players were deflated in the Boston series(and others) when they were instructed not to stick up for themselves(quotes I did hear from Henrik) and take the PP instead.... and it did not work at all. He lost the team on that. They seemed to had lost any self respect and inspiration from each other...

Anyways, my opinions of Green have been mixed. Good and bad. I think the bad has more negative consequences than what the good is doing for this club this season. Seems losing the players started in the back end of the Vegas series.

Lame duck. He wont be getting paid post firing.

If TT was a Canuck, he wouldnt have all these goals obviously. Signing him not to score on your team doesnt sound like the best strategy... but the Canucks still face the habs like 4 or 5 more times.

You guys still think Hughes & Petey are worth close to 10 million.
Hughes is a brutal defender, probably the worst in the league.

It was a smart move not giving him a contract until you seen this year play out.

Can you imagine if Benning gave him a 4 year contract in the offseason

TSN 1040 whined all season about him being a lame duck .

Even if we signed Toffoli and kept him on the taxi squad we would probably make the playoffs. Pure gold

Signing a 20-25 goal scorer for 4 mil a season on a 4 year deal seems to be a pretty easy (frank)ing decision to me. Especially when you've signed a back up goalie for the same price.

He was injured most of his time in Vancouver. Hardly a big endorsement for a resigning. This is just the usual hind sight crap...

He's got 1 goal not against the canucks. Let's be real here...

Doesn't say why they let him go? He is a 50 goal guy at 4 .5 mil a year. Pretty stupid on their part?
