Anyone know what Kevin Dineen is doing? - Reubenkincade
San Diego Gulls coach. |

I honestly don't have a real answer for you on this. Quality of drafts are different every year but I don't think that trades or taking money should be much different than normal years.
For teams, it's about getting players they want on their draft boards. - manvanfan
I probably won't follow the draft this year with much enthusiasm . I have no idea who the top prospects are.
I was wondering with the shortened seasons and no international tournaments how much of an affect it would have.

Isn’t he a head coach in the AHL? |

Owen Power is a 6’6” defenseman, the next Chris Pronger, he’ll probably go first overall. |

Too bad Jacques Lemaire is 75. He would improve this team’s defensive systems. - bloatedmosquito
Yes, I agree, too old though |

Straight to hell.
He would make Petey and Hughes his B1tch - VANTEL
Lol, yes he would. He'd make a great interm coach, fire Green hire Babcock until the end of 2021, light a fire. |

What do you think of Bylsma....assistant coach in Detroit, but obviously lots of experience & success in Pittsburgh. Not that we have the Crosby, Malkin & Fleury ingredients that helped him there. Muller in Montreal? Doubt he would move...
( I would have loved to see Trotz here ) - SlightlyOffside
Byslma was always out scored his opponents. Not a real recipe for success.
Looking in the off season would be a better choice. |

Lots of defencemen in the 2021 draft, good ones, including Quinn Hughes younger brother. |

Former Head coach with Panthers and I think he was an assistant with Chicago.
I know he stepped up to coach the women at Olympics when the coach quit or something.
Had a pretty good record in minors before Panthers gig, if I recall correctly.
He played hard back in his day, might be someone they should look at/interview. |

I would say this draft makes it extremely tough for amateur scouts. NHL scouts are probably combing through video all hours of the day.
The pressure situations of tournaments, playoffs and the Jr tournaments are big for them. They have been watching these players for a few years now though.
CHL is a missing link so far for me. Having no NHL for months really did make me very watch a lot of other leagues more often. Helped me realize that the quality of leagues was a bit off for me.
Top prospects are always top prospects. It's the lower rounds where you don't see them play in person that will make this year much harder. That's 3rd round and down. |

Well, some day that but I'd say he's more of a 1b or 2a. Once he cleans up his penalty issue he'll be a solid 1a though. Although having another 6 foot 6 plus defensemen to augment Myers might make that step easy for him. |

I've watched Michigan play a lot. Lands somewhere in between Hedman and Hamilton. He's probably going #1 because the lack of a generational forward in this draft.
Luke Hughes is going to give him a good run for his money though. |

Simple fact is that the 2022 draft is going to be stocked with 19 year olds. Mainly because everyone is a year behind and that's good for everyone. |
