I’m actually surprised the numbers aren’t higher. I think they’re doing a good job of it. |

Im not a bleeding heart soapbox philosopher, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
NBA, NCAA etc, etc.
Take a month off, lockdowns in Canada like Que has. We are just repeating the cycle.
And yes I do know, no Canadian Teams.

The rest of the world. Case numbers continue to rise, mostly because of close contact among friends and family. NHL teams have much stricter protocols than aunt Jenny and Uncle Doug, which is why all the cousins keep getting sick. |

NHL numbers continue to rise as wall.
This is not an essential service, it's a business, as an example, would you be working in an office if 4% of your staff had Covid.
Look I love Hockey, however is there a deadline to finish the Season, nothing is going to be normal for a long time.
These US Teams, teams they played recently, how many more in the upcoming days. And I hope I am wrong. - Sir Edward Longsha
PS: I understand what you are saying, the NHL has an opportunity to get this under control, much to our chagrin. |

Hockey is an essential service. For people’s mental health absolutely. Regular folks need something to look forward/ some sense of normalcy. The government has taken away enough of our freedoms for too long. People deserve some hockey at the very least. |

Yeah, what I’m saying is that in a general sense, the NHL (and other sports leagues) don’t impact community spread the way visiting with family does. If athletes are being careful in their personal life (which obviously not all of them are), then the social impact is nothing but positive - sports to watch on TV, economic stimulus etc.
I work in the hospitality sector. Restaurants have been hard hit by government rules, but we continue to provide a service and we have very strict protocols in place for enhanced safety.
I think, generally speaking, the NHL has done a good job of creating a safe work space for their members and the community around them. |

The Trump Blueprint. - Sir Edward Longsha
If you have a small brain this comment makes sense. It’s not extreme lockdown vs zero restrictions. There is a healthy middle ground that neither Bonnie or Trump were/ are able to find. The economic repercussions for Canada are enormous. Enough is enough. And ya, I’m also worried about the young people that are losing social skills during their formative years |

Yes that is exactly what this is, it's a biased view on a situation, your take, your interpretation, your skewed perception of a situation you have minimal outside information on, and absolutely no inside information on.
And it has no reason to be in the main blog...anyone wanting to talk politics, here

Not their best album by a long shot, but still good. - 1970vintage
Very good album. Even Division Bell had good stuff. Endless River is pretty good.
Momentary Lapse is actually one of Pink Floyd's better albums and it's without Waters lol |
