Hughes' defensive situation reminds me of when Sutter was brought in and supposed to shield Horvat during his sophomore year, but missed 60+ games with injury and Horvat got buried. I'd like to think Schmidt's the answer but I also think its up to Green to help protect the match ups a bit better too

The players aren't playing the way they should be. Straight up, a lot of them are sucking ass, and it's worse when it's the best players sucking ass.

However, at this level, for this long, if they're all sucking ass, something has to be asked about the ability of the coach to get them to not suck as much ass. Maybe they've tuned him out, or maybe he's not pushing the right buttons... but there's clearly a divide between what he wants them to do and what they're doing.
