GF and I are currently giving $40 per month to the 'adopt a family' program here to help feed families that struggle for cash to get food. Feels good to give.

That is fantastic. We give directly to a village in the Philippines. They get every penny that way. We give 20 to buy someone in the village a mattress so they are not sleeping on the floor and 30 will buy a family a bag of rice for a month.

Any time people can donate to a good cause it is awesome, another charity i like to donate to as much as possible is the children's hospital and the local woman's shelter great causes.

I did two election cycles ago to legalize pot. My one and only.

The fem bias stuff is wacked and real. My father was the first man in BC to gain full custody of his children(1st marriage).

I'll put a little bit of my stuff here, me and Vantel got pretty heated last year and things got personal so I don't like putting ammunition at my door.

The mother of my youngest son slapped my eldest son around. I confronted her with a social worker present before Christmas last year. She got reported to MFC and took off with my youngest to a women's shelter. She accused my 4yo(not me) of being abusive. The ministry launched an investigation and did a home inspection, I was prohibited from setting my youngest until they concluded it. 2 months later they said nothing is wrong with you, your home or your son, you're allowed to see your youngest.

The ex wouldn't let me so I took her to court. 4k later she had to move back to our town because you aren't allowed to take a child out of his home unless there's abuse. Then Corona hit and the courts shut down. I was only allowed to see my youngest Friday nights and Saturday day. The law says equal access unless proven otherwise. But no courts were open so we filed for an emergency family hearing which got me a 2 hour visit on Wednesdays.

In response to that she disappeared for 2 weeks and tried to flee the province to Ontario. I filed an injunction and in response she accused my then 5yo of again being abusive. This bought her another month and we got another court date. I had another MFC home inspection etc... this time they were finally on my side and told her she couldn't call them and use that as a reason to withhold.

After 12k I finally got a second overnight with my youngster who turns three in a few months. I'll get my equal custody when I've paid my lawyer enough, it's a given, in the mean time I've missed out on over a year of time with my boy, my eldest has been abused with no repercussions and he has depreciation due to her telling him that something was wrong with him, he blamed himself for her abuse and for not being able to see his brother regularly.

The law states equality but unless you have the money, it's not equal.

This forum is my outlet from the reality of life, my guilty pleasure. My 6yo watches all the early games with me and is turning into a true Canucks fan. I do vent and get twisted sometimes, but we're all a little fucked up and it's even harder with the social restrictions and whatnot around.

I personally come here for the hilarious back and forth between posters and the hockey talk which helps with the life stuff when things get overwhelming. I have 3 kids in hockey here in Calgary and then now I have to tell them their season is cancelled as was announced today. It truly breaks my heart as I love nothing more in the world than watching them play. Thanks to all of you for making things easier for me.

I didn't need pot to be legal to smoke pot, it's a good thing booze is legal, I don't know what some of you would do. I know people who voted for Trump
