I don’t disagree with most of this. Again, Where does coots slot, what are your lines?

I'm puzzled by your question of where does Couturier slot. He slots on the top line. He is the teams best center. The centers are Couturier, Hayes, Patrick and one of Laughton or Bunnaman.

I personally play Couturier with Giroux and mix in a RW to find chemistry.

If anything Laughton slots to wing and you roll with Coots, Hayes, Patrick, Bunny down the middle.

Glad he's saying they need more of a shooting mentality. It seems like the last 8 seasons or so we are really pass happy overall. At least Fletch brought it up, maybe it'll lead to something - I miss Giroux being trigger happy - although it was nice to see him calling for the puck to shoot on the PP a bit more. Maybe Joel will get that confidence after the last game and shoot more. BIG test tomorrow with Boston.

Fletch seems to have a penchant for saying all the right things.

Agreed. Honest and objective without being overly harsh.

The last post game interview was the first time I could see he put on good weight this offseason, which he was praised for. Kid is just going to get better as well. Hope patty got a little confidence for brushing off that boarding too.

Oskar - Coots - TK

You put that line back together, to get Oskar and TK going again.

I'd personally drop NP out of the top-9 -- Laughton is playing better than he is.

NAK or Raffl out -- Bunnaman's playing too well, can't scratch him now.

I would scratch Patrick. He just isn’t getting it done right now

I'm okay with that line but I want Couturier and Giroux together. Okay also with Patrick moving to center the 4th line. Can't take Raffl out of the lineup. Bunnaman is not outplaying him and Raffl is important to the PK and scores big goals. To me NAK is out.

He may be more talented, but Bunny was better in the last two games.

AV seems to have noticed too, judging by TOI.

Patrick's not shooting and he's not getting to the net enough.

That TOI is based on the performance of the line. The line has been playing very well. I have no issue with anyone who doesn't want to break up that line. However, have to think long term here and what gives you the best chance moving forward and that's for Patrick to progress and improve. The best way for him to do that is to play.
