Why Gus is playing is really a head scratcher. Play a defensively inept dman against one of the best teams in the league last year and beat you twice already this year.

D panic at the merest whiff of pressure and the forwards are all camped out in the NZ looking for a stretch pass.

Pretty clear the "book" MTL/NYI helped write on us last year is league wide known... pressure us in our own zone and we crumble.

We don't have the quickness to compensate. Our forwards aren't quick enough to break through without momentum so they flee the zone and our dmen aren't quick enough with the puck to deal with the pressure.

Some Defense problems and a lot of forwards to high in the d zone when the dmen are facing pressure.

I asked what's wrong with this team before. Got to be honest.... when JVR is the best player on the team, that's all we need to know.

How about a 2nd good shift

Flyers are slow in transition, they hit the neutral zone with no speed and by the time they cross the blue line the Bruins have already caught them, so they slow down and do the curl along the boards and drop it to the point where the defenseman either turn it over or they dump behind the net. That’s our transition in a nutshell!
