You seriously crack me up because you don't know what the hell you are talking about! So now you and Chuck Fletcher are having conversations .. what you visit his house over the summer to mow his lawn too? You are so hell bent on finding fault with what people post that you cannot even follow a simple post or conversation. My point about timely goals had nothing to do with Farabee. I made one statement on Farabee basically meant to give him praise, and the rest of my post was about chances the Flyers had to ice the game and didn't, two mutually exclusive topics. Sorry, I will go slower for you next time.

I didn't think I'd have to explain this but GM's make public statements about players in interviews. I knew it was bad but not this bad. Fletcher's statement about Farabee was a public statement. LOL

I never said I didn't like Farabee, however unlike you I am not going to anoint a 19 year kid as the future Ovechkin in the organization until I see him do something more than score 8 goals in a season. I don't have the luxury of seeing Farabee every day in practice like Fletcher, and apparently you do, so it takes me longer to have an opinion on a kid.

What you said was that the Flyers young players aren't going to be anymore than they are now. Then when pressed, you retracted and said well not all of them. Nobody is anointing anyone the next Ovechkin. That's a stupid statement on your part. Luxury or not, I would surmise you could watch Farabee all you want and it wouldn't matter. You have to know what you're seeing.

Yes that is my post and I stand by it .. right now IMO this team SUCKS! It doesn't mean that next week or the week after I will think the same thing ... but its what I feel right now. I wish Giroux and that so-called Flyers leadership was as angry as I was last night ... but according to them it was just a "little frustrating"!

It's an absurd opinion as they sit tied for the Presidents trophy.

you were unusually angry
- wcorvette

Well, yes, last night I was really Angry.

To give you some background, I live in the Boston area, born and raised there, but I have loved the Flyers since I was a kid. Clarke and Parent were my two favorite players in fact. You can imagine then how it was growing up and playing hockey and being the only player in the room not happy if the Bruins won, in fact over the years I really grew to hate the Bruins with a passion. I hate their fans, I hate their colors, I hate their style, and I especially hate their broadcasters. If you think Jack Edwards is bad, you should have seen what came before him! Of course every time the Bruins beat the Flyers I get bombarded with texts like you wouldn't believe, which compounds the bad experience. So last night I was really happy with how the Flyers were controlling that game and ready to fire some ammo back for once, and the Flyers go and do that. So yes, I was pretty upset.

Of course the Flyers don't suck overall ... but last night at least to me they sucked!

Ya ya .. blah blah blah ... you just don't know the difference between a serious past and an angry one, and last night I was pretty mad. I explained why in another post, not that you care at all.

You said this 19 minutes ago.

"right now IMO this team SUCKS!"

I'd normally chalk that up to emotion when someone posts that but not when a poster has a documented track record of inaccurate and false statements.

OK, so now you are going to tell everyone here that last year you watched Farabee and knew he was going to be a great player? That he was going to come out and demonstrate a laser shot and shot first mentality? Because if you answer Yes you are a bigger fraud than I thought!

Again in the post you reference we were talking about elite offensive talent, so when I mentioned the Flyers young players I was referring to their young forwards, including all that are in the system. I said IMO I don't see any elite offensive talent in the Flyers system and I didn't see any developing. I was referring to of course Patrick, Lindblom and Frost for the most part, but also the forwards in the minors. YOU brought Cart Hart, Myers and Sanheim into the conversation, not me! And I also clarified that I was not sure yet about Farabee, that I need more time to watch him. And I still stand by this statement. I look at actual play, not future fantasy projections on what we hope Patrick or Lindblom will be for example.

This franchise hasn't won a cup in 45 years, so what the hell do I care about a team tied with the most points 10 games into the season ... this team plays like this come playoff time they are one and done, if they even make the playoffs.

I have not used the adjective great in anyway to describe Farabee as a player. Last year and this year, I can see Farabee's hockey IQ, all around play and ability to compete in the NHL at 19. I can see how he anticipates plays, gets himself into the right areas and I can see his skill level that makes his future bright. The fact that you're not able to see that doesn't make those that can a fraud.

What you said was that the Flyers young players aren't going to be more than they already are. Do I need to link to that statement that you made? Just think about that statement. Without even looking at the individual players how absurd that statement is? Why wouldn't Hart, Myers, Sanheim and Farabee be included in a discussion about the Flyers young players? When discussing the future of the Flyers? Again, does that make any sense to exclude them? If you were, that's on you.

Simmonds with his second fight of the season, apparently on a scoring line when he got into the fight. Tavares and Nylander were on the ice.

A lot of hate in here for a team that is tied for 2nd in the league in points. I get it, they play poorly sometimes but wake up people. You have been lucky enough to watch your team win 7 times and only lose 2 times in regulation.

I am so happy they are where they are. This opens things up for Fletcher to change in season. Maybe showcase ghost or Gus and get a decent stay at home defender in return. Maybe York is our mid-season pick up. Maybe Laczynski, Ratcliffe, or Allison can jump in the lineup and do what pitlick, Grant, and Thompson did for the team.

We are in a great position and just need a small tweak to really be competitive.
