This fanbase flipped out even when Stecher walked. They b1tched that 1.7 was easy to sign. Benning said Chatfield is a good player and the fan base laughed at his insanity.

Chatfield is one million cheaper and and is having a better year than Stecher.

Benning has said twice now Podkolzin is an NHL player and he will more than likely be playing on Bo's line. I have seen enough of VP and I believe he will play on Bo's line.

Canucks have young players ready to jump in so signing players long term does not make sense.

This fan base wants draft picks but does not want to play them. I seen right here poster after poster saying don't sign Markstrom Toffoli or Tanev . They didn't and now the GM is incompetent . You really can't win.

Maybe Benning should stay away from drafting Finnish defencemen unless they are named Heiskanen.

Just for comparison sake, There are 14 Finnish defenders to play in the league this year. 9 of them have points. (110 Canada defencemen in the league)

There is probably 20 Finnish defenders draft every draft. I lied there is only about 10. Only about 1 a year makes the NHL from each draft. 7 of the 14 were first round picks. 2 undrafted.
