So the Canadiens unbeatable start was just that the Canucks really suck balls defensively.

And the Oil. Don't forget them, they also get tea bagged in the d zone

Connor McGretzky is going to have to keep up his 5000 point pace.

James Tanner was writing saying that Habs played the Vancouver Senators (not typo) so many times hence why we were in 1st place. Obviously a freaking Leaf fan

When you need two guys to score at a two point per game pace just to be mediocre you probably should rethink the makeup of your team. I can't give Holland any blame for it, it's still the leftover impact of the decades long boys club they ran and the idiocy of letting Chia run wild with quick fix attempts. At least Tyson Barrie is rehabbing his numbers there, so there's that

Generally speaking it's a good idea to stop reading once this happens

Barrie's a (frank)ing dumpster fire, but he does know how to be the 2nd assister to McDavid or Drait on the PP and the Oilers actually run a PP that encourages defenders to shoot (unlike the Leafs).

If I were a FA who counts on points I'd take a one year flyer on the Oil to build value and let some sucker overpay me the next year. You know some idiot will look at it and think he's what they're missing this off season. Tyson Barrie is an older and worse version ADA just without the baggage

I'd say he's looking for like a pussier version of MA Bergeron. Some GM will give him a deal, but when he's -30 to end the year, they might balk a little.

Yeah that's a fair comparison. I even mentioned MA just yesterday in here. In Barrie's defense he'd probably only be -25 at season's end if Koskinen was even league average. I remember when they let Chia sign him the day before firing him, somebody tweeted it was the equivalent of crop dusting the office on the way out the door

it was frustrating to watch yes. Ottawa had Montreal's number all night. first on every puck. had an intensity that Montreal couldnt match. similar to the Calgary game in some ways but just much, much sloppier.

Didn't watch the Calgary one either Starting to think me not watching is bad luck....I'll try to tell that to the girlfriend next time she tells me she doesn't wanna watch hockey.

Habs still outshot them 38-22...was it that bad of a game ?

Price needs to be better, not just last night but in general. Suzuki had his worst game of the season easily, same for Petry.

None of this in my opinion warrants the chicken little sky is falling stuff but fans gonna fan. Apparently some people thought there was a good chance they'd go 56 games without losing in regulation.
