Gotta say, the whole 'best goalie in the world' narrative has been pumped for so long that I am convinced it persists now only to justify a ludicrous contract for the most uncertain position in the game. Looking around the league ~6M long term is what you pay top flight goalies - if they want more, trade them.

Jake Allen, on the other hand, appears to be having a renaissance, which is good for Habs fans who want to protect valuable skaters up front because at current rate, he's going to Seattle. Varlamov is also doing the NYI a similar solid.

I really like the jerseys but I despised that game last night, so it sorta ruined everything for me... how many times are they supposed to wear them during the season?

he's a great goalie (imo) but that contract makes no sense, and now everyone keeps complaining that he sucks every time he has a bad game because of it

To be honest, so far this season, Price has underperformed but it was less visible because they played well enough not to need to rely on him to win, last night though, a Price at the top of his game would have given them a chance to win. We know he can still be that Price though, we’ve seen it as recently as last Summer, hopefully he gets it together soon

I agree 100% he's having a slow start. I guess my point is with that sort of contract there is no goalie in the world that could be consistent enough to prevent fans from whining about it. and yeah I'm not too worried he's gonna up his game sooner rather than later

the worst thing would have been that he stayed and then received a second one at the same place and then become a florida panther.

but really, I don't understand why they do not wear full face visor at least when they practice. you receive a 10 km/h puck in the face at the outdoor rink of your neighborhood it's one thing, but a nhl caliber shot to the face seems something I would like to protect myself from.

Yeah, I'm late to the party, not as threaddicted™ as kick is, but I knew from the get go we were screwed last night... The trifecta was against us: Crappy team, pre game ceremony, different jersey. They were doomed before they stepped on the ice.
