My wife's favourite movie is "Dirty Dancing." I remember thinking it was a great movie back in 1987. But I watched it a few months ago and thought it was ok but certainly not great. I thought I was getting divorced that night. - gergeswillems
Oh man, yeah you gotta be careful! The phrase, “man that was stupid” has gotten me in trouble more than once |

Bro, my wife's a dancer (NOT THAT KIND....) and cried because Patrick Swayze passed, and she'd never be able to dance with him again.
NOTE: The actual lake where the water scene was filed is on NC....and is a dirt-hole now. Yet, just like in Field of Dreams, the headlights of cars coming to visit stretches for MILES - mcmastermike1968
Yeah, I got hit with the double whammy of Michael Jackson and Swayze passing away. Both tore my wife up. I learned my lesson with Michael. I told a horrible joke the day of the passing. “Hey hon, they released the coroner’s report. Turns out MJ choked on a small bone”. I do not recommend repeating that. Ever. With Swayze I just listened and kept my stupid mouth shut. That, and watched his skit with Chris Farley on SNL. That was brilliant |

Almost feels like Yzerman is playing games and baiting Blash into bad decisions...
Here are some yutz recalled again... You gonna develop them like you were told your goal is, or try to lose by 2 goals with washed up veterans? |

I don't understand how a Brome Ras Hirose line isn't more favorable over Frans Flip Gagner... it's very frustrating. The Lightning are a good team, at least ice some faster players that can keep up. |

Keeping the same head coach for 6 years even though he's failed miserably in every possible way? |

June 8 2015, an article in the local paper read “16 Reasons Jeff Blashill is right for the Red Wings and will lead them back to Greatness “ Yes Greatness was used when hope was alive.
Here are some Highlights
1. Blashill is a Winner
4. Blashill excels at getting his team prepared to play
6. Blashill is consumed with trying to be the best every day
7. Blashill is able to get the best out of his players, motivating those who need a kick in the butt. But he also has an ability to help those who are struggling.
11. Blashill seems to good at everything
No need to keep going here, but that was 5 years ago and none of the reasons appear real.

Two quick things. I was sure (you guys remember) the league would be looking at 48 games or less. 56 seemed crazy. They are now talking about whittling down to 40 due to the teams having to shut down. If that’s the case, we’re a quarter way in, and finding a new coach probably won’t happen. HSJ mentioned that Blashill’s contract is a fairly low number. Ownership may not be on board with dropping $ for an improvement until there’s some stability regarding ticket revenues. |

Yeah, those lines could well change at game time. They did it last time as well. |

Been saying it for months..
He is working for peanuts compared to any serious coach, and they will not pay Blash AND a new coach this season, no matter how many games they end up playing

I never bought the Blashill hype train. I agreed that it was time to part ways with Babs. 10 seasons was long enough. But I advocated for a vet replacement head coach.
Blashill has proven to be in over his head as an NHL head coach. No rehearsed catch phrases, ripped off cliches or Mike Babcock voice impersonating he does can change this. Imagine being paid for a job you're lousy at doing for 6 years. Unacceptable.
The Red Wings were sold a bill of goods with Jeff Blashill. |

Holland is gullible and easy to fool.
I still believe SY is keeping him as mostly the "Tank Commander", while saving
a lot of money.

That kid stirs the drink for sure. He finds space, and did you see the look on Hedman’s face when he had to take a penalty getting beat by Zadina? That kid is something special |

First period thoughts are up - far better thoughts. Zadina, man, he really gives this team much more punch.
First period summary - much, much better out of the gate. Detroit was able to keep Tampa in their own zone for the first couple minutes. The team had more jump, were throwing hits, and skating hard. Zadina may well be the most exciting player on the ice. It seems like he’s stirring things up when he’s out there. His speed and skating are impressive. Enough to send Hedman to the box by getting around him on a nice breakaway. His assist came as a wicked fast wrist shot that surprised almost everyone. This kid seems to get better every time I see him. Many fans had written him off (I’d even had someone tell me that Veleno was way better). At the very least, the defense has their heads on a swivel when #11 is out there. Mantha and Smith are mixing it up out there, a good sign. A good job on the PK at the end as Maroon was buried in front of the net. Much better watch tonight. |

Definitely a much closer and more competitive game tonight. More entertaining to watch. Detroit stepped up their game a notch and are winning some puck races. Also doing a good job of clogging up the neutral zone better than last game.
