Is there a reason the Rangers and Lughtninig gave up on Miller, Washington and Vegas gave up on Schmidt? Is it really about the cap dollars or is it about something else?
Hmm.

He's already at the Royal York, showed up in a taxi from Summerside. He's in meetings with Gillis and FA. It's going to be like the Neilson unveil.

Not sure where the 33 minute shot cam from, but I am still here cheering for my Canucks to do the right thing.

Not sure how it got bolded, might be something to do with shaking my pom-poms.

After 15 rounds, the leader board hasn't changed much;

Hughes at -12 is starting to run away with it at this years tournament
Followed by Chatfield and Gaudette who have managed to get in a few less rounds and are at - 7.
Then they are followed up by Boeser Miller and Horvat at a respectable -6.

Go Canucks Go.

Demko gets injured and what do you do then?
- manvanfan

Easy play Holtby. Demko doesn’t start every game but definitely not 50/50.

Okay, so the other team has a beast of a centre ,a speedy playmaking winger and the coach thinks Bo can shut down that line by himself?
How about the organization put aside where a player is drafted and look at turning a player into something different.
A few years back , lefty myself and others suggested that a player like Jake would not be a top 6 guy like it was hoped, so why didn't they look at trying to turn him into something different?

I have now finished watching the game.I can see why Holtby was glaring at Miller.
Kinda reminds me of a primadonna I used to play with , who was the coaches son, goalie shot the puck at the player and on the next play, rifled the puck at the coach.
Good times. I hated that coach.😁

Someone mentioned Guy Boucheron, He would be a nice option, but I still prefer My combo of Gallant and Nolan.

Now I have done my 33 minute rambling spell, see you all tomorrow. 🖕

Signing of Holtby at 4.6 mil was just stupid, the guy has been subpar for 3-4 y with the exception of 8 playoff weeks when he got hot and they won it.
He would rather be walking LGBT parade or schooling you on politics, these days....

Yes, because goaltending is clearly the issue (yeah... no).

They were committed to Demko for the future. That made Markstrom and his 6x6 asking price expendable. Sorry, but holding onto an injury prone 31 year old goaltender for another 6 years would've been completely shortsighted.

No point paying that when you ultimately want to give the young guy the job. So it looks a lot better to sign Holtby at 4.3M a season for 2 years to split duties while Demko continues maturing.

Perhaps this was the best possible thing to happen... the team can no longer hide hideous defensive play behind stellar goaltending like in the bubble.

The true weaknesses of this group are undeniable now.

Ultimately not worried about Hughes, Petey, or some of the other core pieces going forward because I KNOW they are better than this.

But the group is completely dysfunctional right now, and it looks worse with each passing game.

They need to do something to slow down the bleeding.

Chatfield had been playing steady up until last night, looked overwhelmed.

The makeup of this team is just not good. Happy to see JB go.
