I didn't read the articles that were posted on here earlier but the irony of two guys probably b1tching about Benning not doing his job get fired from the TSN family. It didn't happen in Calgary or Edmonton but I am pretty sure they did not complain about their team for two years and drive listeners away with the bashing the way the 1040 did.

The only Ex Canuck I would consider is Hamhuis (as a D coach ) and that is because he spent 9 years under one of the best defences of the decade Nashville Preds. He also spent a few years in Dallas who were very good. It has nothing to do with him being an ex Canuck.

No, Eriksson is an elite defensive leader. He should be our next D coach.

Our Core will still be young when those bad contracts expire and we can attract better UFA's for cheaper. Benning will have also stocked the cupboards to have youngs guys continuing to push for NHL jobs.

What we need is a GM that can continue on with what Benning has put in to place for Amateur Scouting and improve Pro Scouting/Contract Negotiations.

I would be happy with keeping Jim, getting rid of Weisbrod (guy leaves a negative after taste everywhere he goes), and hiring a strong President that approves UFA signings and can greatly improve the team's communication (with players, UFAs, staff, and fans). Let Jim do what he does best and remove the PR aspect of his current job.

hate blinders much, Myers is better than Edler, Schmidt, Benn, in all round play and a better defender than Hughes but Hughes puts up points while passing the puck to Mathews to score.
