I agree with you about Myers, not about Schmidt though. I think he's better then he shown and him and Myers are both decent D.
- Pres.cup

You’re both wrong. Myers is too slow for the NHL already. Schmiddy might make the occasional bonehead play but he’s already better and will get better and hopefully less stupid each game.

I mean, Myers>Stecher, but is that really saying anything?

Edler Schmidt
Hughes Tanev
Benn Myers
OJ Hamonic

That could have been a decent set of D.

I agree, looks like we miss Tanev and I didn’t think we would. You really want to commit 4 years to him though? Benning would have been crucified if he signed that deal

No, I wanted to trade him. I’m only mad that the Canucks painted themselves into a corner and literally couldn’t improve the team this year because of what they did in the past. But, with or without Benning things will get better starting next year. Sutter (who they will have to replace) and 🐻 come off. That’s a bonus $3m and another $6m the following year. And hopefully they have learned their lesson.

Yeah but I’m still not a fan of that Tanev contract. But I’d take that contract over Schmidt all (frank)in day.

You know the GM is trash when you’re giddy about contracts coming off the books every year instead of being worried about replacing the players you’re losing.

Yes, no disagreement here. Beagle baertchi are killing us now. I sort of give Benning a pass on Loui as we all know what the mandate was.

It was the same people back then saying he deserved 3.5 mil that are the ones complaining now though. I knew Sven was worth 1.2 . I remember the debates very well . Some of those people also said Gaudette was worth 2.5 .

I am not talking about Lefty so there were others.

Ya I didn’t mind at the time. I didn’t realize he would become the worst player in the league in year one
