I was just looking at Huberdeau's numbers . Two years ago he had 30 goals 62 assists for 92 points and was still -14

How the hell do you pull that off? That means you were on the ice for 106 against

I think in about two weeks they can put that to bed if they continue losing. If they haven't started winning by then they should be sellers and stop thinking about extra cap to take players on.

At that same time I would send Loui to Utica.

I would be holding off and trying to maintain as much of that space as possible, in case a decent player comes up around TDL, that a team that is no longer in playoff contentio, considered trying to trade, due to expansion exposure.
At this point in the Canucks rebuild, or whatever it is, they should be keeping any and all options open.

Could be as soon as the wrap of the 4 game series with Calgary. While I think they will likely split the games, a sweep either way dramatically changes the playoff picture for both teams....particularly if the season is truncated.

He could have been on the ice for some pp goals against as well.
But ya, that is a lot of goals against at 5v5.

It is a heck of a lot better than our Norris candidate though, who has 9 PP points and is minus 13 or 14, with only 16 games played.

Could he have realized a lot of points on the PP? I was thinking the same with Hughes, 17 points, -14.

I was just looking at Cap Friendly E Draft simulator Canucks and it says Rathbone is exempt. I know you said Carol was mentioning he needs to be protected .

No doubt Hughes has some big issues. Hard for me to accept giving him 7 mil next year. He has had one good year and one bad year .

Elliotte said he was blown away by Quinn Hughes comments and was called by other teams asking if it was accurate? What happened?

"We have a competitive group, guys want to win, no one wants to lose – including myself," Hughes said. "It sucks. We lost some pretty good players last year, so we're trying to figure it out together. Tonight we were close to that."

: It’s gone so sideways that I don’t know where to start. The Quinn Hughes comment last night was a whopper. I had people from other teams sending me that quote asking if it was accurate or misquoted. That one caught the eye of people.

Yeah it's been blown so out of proportion, people are saying he was taking a shot at JB by saying they lost good players.

its in regards his comments about the team. He said something along the lines of "we have a bunch of new players, we lost a lot of players in the offseason" (which the media ran with in terms of interpreting it as being a shot at Benning/Management for the loss of Marky/Tanev/Toffoli/etc)

Freidman likes to stir up the Vancouver Market . In his 31 thoughts item number 10

After Monday’s 3-1 loss to Toronto, Quinn Hughes said, “We have a lot of new pieces — we lost a lot of players from last year.” That was the Canucks’ 16th game of the season. Even with the loss of practice time and no exhibition games, that’s a long time for a team to still be finding its way. I can’t help but wonder if Travis Green being in the last year of his contract contributes to the overall malaise. The players saw some critical pieces leave in a similar scenario — do they think the same about their coach?

-------------------------------------
I believe the part where he says I can't help but wonder about Green is Freidmans comments , I doubt if they are Hugh's comments.

It really is nothing

Edit: Hughes quotes are in quotation makrks , the rest if Freidmans comments.

Yes he does. He'll never be as good as we are at trolling ourselves though.
