If you have to play only teams from the metro, you're gonna have a bad time especially the youngest team in the NHL. I take back what I said about Mika getting scratched. It's frustrating but I/we do need to be more patient with this team. Its very possible they turn it around and go on a 5-7 game tare at any moment just like last year. Imagine we had a normal 82 game schedule? You have to think we would have at least 6 wins by now given all of the close 1 goal games we've had in the Metro this year. - disorca
Good job. They simply can’t scratch Zib. What you could do is take him off pp1. But you still aren’t helping him by doing that. He’s off his game, not much you can do except hope he snaps out of it

I actually think they could easily take him off PP1. Panarin left dot, Kakko right dot, kreider in front, Fox, Buch at the points. |

I’d like to see Laf on the pp. But Kakko would probably have first dibs in that scenario.
If you think about it, that’s why they are struggling so bad to score this year. That PP was lethal all year last season. 5 on 5 the rangers are fine for the most part. PP is killing them |

They need to move Zib back to the high circle on the left side, Panarin as the top of the umbrella, and Fox as the weak-side floater.
Zib is too low and he’s putting himself in a bad position to score.
The other thing they should do is mix up the pp o-zone scheme. Teams know all they have to do is play the diamond to defend against our top unit. |

This sounds really dumb. I'm gonna bench a player so they fire me. What are we in 5th grade? |

Yeah, Kakko has made progress this year, he really looks like one of the top 3 players most nights. He should be rewarded with PP time on that 1st unit |

Torts doesn't strike me as that kind of guy.
Torts would walk right into management and say I (frank)ing hate coaching here, I'm leaving. |

I know people obsess with pts, but his dzone game is night and day from last year. He is so much more aware of what to do back there now.
PP unit one:
Fox
Panarin
Kreider
Kakko
Laf
No center lol. They don’t win faceoffs anyway haha. They actually did do very good on faceoffs last night however

Yup, he has been amazing in his own zone. Pretty impressive transformation. Usually with the young guys that takes a little while |

This is why I'm not freaking out over Laf. You can now see why Kakko was drafted 2oa.
Points aren't the end all be all. It sure as hell would be nice for both of them to be on the scoresheet, though. |

Rangers only have 6 power play goals so far. Last year they probably had what 15? After 11 games. That’s the ole bugaboo right now |

I really think the staff and front office is telling these kids to learn the defensive part of NHL game first. Then your offense will take shape as they age more. Laf too has been pretty good away from the puck. |

Yeah, I don't think anyone is freaking out per se. I think its more of just hoping a #1 overall would have been a little more dynamic in their 1st 11 games. There are plenty of reasons he might not be, and I have no doubt it will come eventually. He looks a bit more comfortable lately. |
