Hate to bring this up once again, but Dave Maloney last night was bemoaning the fact that Ranger forwards do not go to the net, and play too much on the perimeter. Well, the Ranger forwards are perimeter players, don’t need to be Scotty Bowman to see that.

I mean there is some merit to it. Some games you have to score greasy goals like last night. Thought the 3rd and 4th lines were going to the net, but the 1st 2 lines tend to rely too much on the perfect shot.

Same reason Isles 2 goals were scored by their 4th line. Not their big guns.

Dave is not wrong. Rangers need more grit and Isles need more skill. Time for an Islander/Ranger trade.
