Personally, I think Malkin would be traded before Crosby would. Theyll try to get a haul of young players to surround Crosby with for another run or 2 before he hangs it up. |

I think Crosby trade proposals are reserved for like the 3rd week in August when there is literally nothing else to talk about
"hey I'm bored we should trade for Sidney Crosby"
Pittsburgh hired Brian Burke yesterday, the first thing he said was back in 2005 he missed out on Crosby by one spot in the draft and now he finally has him, and, also Brian Burke HATES the Rangers.
Hates them.
Notorius hatred. - jimbro83
Yeah, there's an extremely slim chance the conversation even happens. Bummer, because he's exactly what we're missing right now (can probably say that about every team though lol). |

If we got Crosby and he won us a cup, youd retract every bad thing you ever said about him. - aecliptic
Trading a center for a center isnt going to help with center depth issue. If he was traded here we wouldnt win the cup. We would have the same problem as before, no solid second line center and a young defense. |

There would have to be a follow up trade to address that need or maybe Chytil, with the guidance of Crosby, can improve his game. However, I was merely answering the question if I would, and I would. |

Crosby trade proposals are gonna be the end of me - jimbro83
It's pointless, there is a zero percent chance he would be traded in the division. |

OMG....where did the idea of trading for Crosby come from. Let's not get desperate in blowing poop up guys.
I would feel like a dirty whore if they traded for Crosby.
As for tonight. Oh Boy. I am not hoping for a win. I am hoping to see competitive progress from the young guys. It's a good test on how to compete and battle with mental toughness with an upper level team that is playing really well. Any experience is good experience in this situation. - NYRCeph

Yea youre likely to see Malkin traded, and it would be to a team like LA thats got some solid prospects, or a team like Vegas thats been needing a star player. |

not sure if Vin is around but he'd be happy to know that Adam Herman hasn't said one single thing on twitter since February 1st |

Wasn't judging you. I just can't. I can't watch the Rangers just hoping they play well. It's pointless to me. Always all in on the wins. |

Didn't feel judged at all. I figured that is what you mean. I can completely understand that and agree for the most part. It is definitely hard to watch a losing team. The early 2000s, I can't tell you how many games I just turned off in disgust. At least with this team there is hopeful for a future. |

Agreed with you post about the turnovers...that is a major concern. Lets up they tighten that up. UGH. May be a rough night.
As for taking EVERYTHING back. No....I just wouldn't be able to. Personality flaws in being a snowflake on the ice for this many years, I just can't get over that. I will always applaud his skill. He's got that in spades. But for personality, no...it's clear his mother wiped his ass until he was 20 years old. - NYRCeph
I have never been able to get behind this.
Yes, I have always been a Crosby supporter, so I differ from most here. Also, living well outside of the NYC area, I may be less passionate in my hatred's.
But, from his first game in the league Crosby has had a target on his back. I don't think it's a stretch to say he takes more abuse than anyone has for 30 years. I would get (frank)ing pissed off too, if I couldn't take 2 strides without someone doing something that is clearly against the rules to me.
Even while laughing as Hank squirted him with water while he had 3 guys laying on top of him, you have to admit - that has NEVER taken place on the ice against anyone else. |

On the night the Rangers selected Laf, Bob McKenzie on the telecast said, “he’s more Mikko Ratanen than he is Connor McDavid. That meant he was a north/south winger who isn’t afraid of the dirty areas and has huge scoring touch around the net. Now, in all fairness to Laf and the comp to Ratanen, he doesn’t play with N. Mackinnon. Nuf said.
Here’s an idea that should rile some up. If the Pens are getting ready to blow it up, how about the Rangers explore the possibility of trading for Crosby? This with no consideration of cap issues and alike. but just some food for thought. His leadership and experience certainly couldn’t hurt, just ask all the wingers he made 30 goal scorers. - OLDSCHOOL#6
No, just NO!
Now the rest of this thread is just going to be pointless speculation on whether or not we should get him. |

My feelings for Crosby were maybe the 1st 3-5 years he was a whiny female dog. After that, he grew up. Definitely respect him a lot more now. Nothing wrong with arguing a bad call, but the way he did it when he first came in to the league, it was almost like he felt entitled. Very off putting. |

I agree he has had a target on his back. But I do think he created some of that. I can't cite off the top of my head, but I do remember his first several years in the league there were a lot of players, coaches and other that would openly report on his conduct as a player and it was that of what I stated. To the likes I have not heard of from other Top 5 picks before. NOW, is some of it probably overblown, sure. And I think you hit on something with Hank. Hank is a consummate professional and class act and for him to go out of his way to do something like that, may be indicative of the aura that Crosby created from himself as well. Just a small microcosm of an argument.
Also, I can speak in pretty extreme terms.. So my previous post tone may have been higher than I meant it to be. |

This is true, although I will point to Cally's "penalty" for getting slew-footed as an example of the preferential treatment he received for years.
He has finally matured to the point that I don't despise him as much as I used to. |
