He's really good on FO's for what it's worth. 52% on a sample size of 3000
- picklerick

Plays a hard nosed game, too, which would be welcomed. It's not the worst idea, but hard to forget how lazy he was at times. He very well could have matured though.

Oof thats a lot for a guy who is pretty much Strome, except a better faceoff guy
- mdw7413

Nah, he’s better then Strome.

Johansen .66 ppg career
Strome .51 ppg career

It’s not the most attractive guy, so I get what the rub is

By all accounts he's rounded out and matured as a player in the last 4 years

Not sure about that, he got benched the other night for a lazy penalty or lazy backcheck. I forget which one, but they mentioned it on Sirius NHL network

I like Barkov. Guy pretty much brings everything. If we are going to waste some picks and prospects lets do it on a player

Barkov is very similar to the Stamkos rumors from a few seasons ago. Is it possible? Sure. Do I want him? Absolutely, no doubt, 1000%.

But why would FLA trade him?

Dream scenario though and I would trade the farm for him.

Again, I admit to having a bias opposite to most here.
Thanks to TSN and The Hockey News, I started following Crosby's career by the time he was 13! Even at that age, he had a professionalism and focus toward the game I have rarely seen in any player. Always admired and respected that. So, maybe I didn't see some instances with impartial eyes.

It's always good to have a back and forth debate. I have a bias on the other end to yours. So we learn from the other. Because I have one side, I need the other, therefore...You complete me.
MDW may be jealous though.

I think slim may be a bit closer to reality just in general. If we try to get a second center, It'll be closer to someone of that ilk and not a high end piece for the reasons you list.

Out of the 2nd tier options you guys have discussed, I do think a Miller reunion makes the most sense. If Chytil progresses more, I'd have no problem shifting Miller back to 3C either.

Well yeah, its all going to depend on if he wants to stay there or if they don't want to pay him what he wants. I thinks its just a little different than the Tampa scenario with Stamkos. Tampa has been a top team for a long while now.

I think FL is doing well this year because they are the best suited to play without fans.

Really would be great to know what's up with Chytil. Is he a week away? 2? 4? 10?

I'll see your "meh" and raise you a "Hellllllllllllll no!"
I fail to see how a 33 year old averaging 0.4 ppg and 46% on faceoffs (31% so far this season!!) is going to solve our problems.

oh no, I'm definitely not looking at that trade as something that solves our problems

I do not think of the Tony D trade chip as a problem solver, just a problem

they are gonna keep getting asked about him until he's gone

I count Howden as having 147 career NHL games

for some reason I am thinking that once a player hits 150 games he can't be sent to AHL freely

anyone verify that?

I broke both of my wrists at the same time when I was 14. Freak accident. Was in a full arm cast on my right arm and half cast on my left. Was a pain to wipe my own ass, but definitely won me some brownie points with the ladies
