he is probably traded. - Retinalz
I doubt it. Jake is likely a negative value asset. Jake and a 3rd for a 5th? |

I’ve been coming here for over 15 years, 15 years of listening (reading) the exact same drivel that everyone here is spewing day in day out.
I thought there was a game tonight, I would have thought there would be conversations about the upcoming competition.
Don’t you guys ever get tired of the continued verbal diarrhea and repeating the same poop 1000 posts a day.
Benning is the GM until he isn’t, Green is the coach until he isn’t, Eriksson, Beagle, Sutter, Virtanen etc are players signed to the Canucks until they aren’t.
You guys all have some kind of repetitive compulsive behaviour disorder.
I’ll start it off, Calgary will come out strong to start the game, their forwards will press down Hughes side and try to overpower his lack of physicality. But I think Hughes is going to prepared and play a Norris style game.
If Holtby is in, Calgary will try shots high shoulder side because Holtby crouches low against the post and leaves an opening up top.
Could be wrong, but I think the Canucks play as a team and win decisively and could be the catalyst to much better play and a 750% run the rest of the way.
Pom Poms much, maybe but hopefully leads to better discussions. - Makita
So you are saying we are special? |
|
|
|
True, but I hope it changes the direction of discussion. - Makita
We will probably lose tonight.

Hey I am going to ask you a serious question? Are you always a miserable ___ because of your physical issue or is it the drugs?
I am trying to figure out why a person would wake up every day looking for an argument? Is it just you are an idiot or is it because you are in pain that makes you miserable? - VANTEL
Enjoy the game tonight. Hopefully it will provide you the opportunity to tell a bunch of people they were wrong. |

You have been telling Benning he has been wrong for 7 years dude.
- VANTEL
I will enjoy the game thank you . You too.

As of right now we have 28.1m to sign Demko, EP, Hughes, OJ, Edler(?), replace Benn, Chatfield, Sutter, Pearson, Gaudette and Bailey
Demko 4 years 3m = 25.1
Ep 3 years 7m = 17.1
Hughes 3 years 7 = 10.1
OJ 1-2 years at 1 = 9.1
Lind replaces Gaudette 1 year 900k = 8.2
PodK replaces Pearson at 925k = 7.275
7.275 to sign Edler, and replace Sutter and Benn as regulars, then Bailey and Chatfield as 13th forward and 7th D. That's if EP and Hughes get that much(I think they will) - Retinalz
Likely some bargain bin deals again this summer as well |

I've already accepted the fact I'm wrong when I log on, that's why I get so much humour when I come here. Almost time for some more Moby Richard. |

Tanev left some friends behind . That happens every year and I suggest the fan base grow as pair it is part of sports. We never won anything with Tanev and Flames won't either. - VANTEL
Not directed at you, but this saying/narrative has been floating around here. It's such a stupid notion.
Washington never won anything with Backstrom, Ovi, Carlson, etc. until they did. Ryan O'Reilly never won anything with Colorado or Buffalo until he went to St. Lou and did.
Just because a player/team hasn't won doesn't mean they never will. Just because a player did win somewhere doesn't mean they will again (Beagle) |

I think TB Dal and AVs will dominate the league for the next three years. I think Flames window will be closed by then .
It is not a direct shot at Tanev about the Flames not winning the cup , it is a shot at the flames

Doesn't take in to account any trades/buyouts/trips to Utica, or whoever Seattle will take in the expansion, but ya, it's not bleak. It's just not as much room as we all would like. |

As we've all seen, a hot goalie can get a team a cup. If Marky's groins hold, he could be that guy |

I think Tanev had some strong ties here but it really is a business and people move every year. I think people and players have got to move on. - VANTEL
Every group is different. With different people and dynamics. Sure it's a business and they'll move on. I think having such a young group that clearly had strong bonds it might have been more difficult. Not certain on that, but I mean as you get older and more experienced it's easier to let go. Some of these kids are still learning that, not just in hockey, but in life. |

I think he is pretty accurate also .
What do you think of giving Hughes 7 mil per?
He has been a tire fire in his own end. If he continues to play like this 7 mil could be really over paying a player. |

We’ll have to agree to disagree on the big man, the only time I like him is when he randomly decides to get angry and take it out on an opponent. |

It isn't like he is a 1st year player and I haven't seen him play before. What is bold is awarding rookie of the year trophies before a player plays a game in the NHL or awarding a Norris trophy to a player who can't play defense worth shit. - Reubenkincade
Karlsson won the Norris twice and has been an up/down +/- player his entire career. Lot's of Hockey yet to be played dude...
Don't toss the towel in on Schmidt and Hughes just yet...

I don't think it is 7.5m, I could be wrong but there is something that has allowed teams to qualify for lower after a bridge. Something to do with 3 year deals? Something for someone else to look in to. - Retinalz
Didn't know that, I just thought it was based off of the last year of the current contract, good to know. |
