Your love for Gillis is getting just as annoying as that NuckUp guy and his incessant MTA, and ....
Give it a rest already - Sea21dog
Your Benning Bro sticker is showing..
I've got no love for MG, you mistake a growing dislike for Benning as growing love for Gillis. The word is, no other GM will take the job because of ownership, so what's your solution?

In case anyone missed the Quinn Hughes interview that I posted in the last thread, here it is;
https://youtu.be/1RREL5yLakA - Reubenkincade
i watched the whole thing and here's what i saw: a kid who looks tired. tired both physically and mentally.
i saw a kid who became defensive (no pun intended) when discussing his and the team's defensive woes. it seems that he's been hearing (from the coach? media?) about his lack of defense and it seemed like he wanted to say "it hasn't been as bad as it's been made out and everybody sucks so stop just singling me out."
is that the best attitude? no but i go back to a kid who looks tired both mentally and physically. if nothing else, this condensed season should build some mental resilience for the younger guys.
about the "controversial" quote; had i not known about the friedman bullet point, i wouldn't have given it a second thought. it's obvious that the team liked tanev, marky and toffoli. they don't like that they're gone and they're adjusting to having new guys in the respective roles.
isn't that the truth? there's no controversy unless you're looking for it. |

100%, if I was a player I wouldn’t consider a Canadian market. Garbage weather, taxes and media bs. |

The fans are pooptè
On the other hand for the single hockey players who want to have a good time with the ladies, especially in markets where the fans care like Canadian markets. |

Players seldom have any say in where they wind up collecting their millions. |

Or you can just live in a big American city/market like LA or New York and have the best of both worlds. |

yeah but they're also treated like gods when the team's winning.
what would the optics be if a football "star" said he wanted to go to a small market team because there's less media/fan pressure?
it's a billion dollar league: suck it up, buttercup. |

Until they get past RFA status, sure. After that you can do whatever you want plus you can keep yourself away from Canada with a limited NTC as long as you’re not a scrub player.
There’s also players who demand trades like Laine |

Ah I see, so because I don't post Gillis this, Gillis that, I have a Benning sticker. I'm not mistaking anything with your posts, you have put Gillis name out several times, several.
How do you know for certainty that no other GM will take the job, pure speculation driven by fans like you.
Benning needs to go, Green and company need to go, but they still have those positions and until they are vacant no one knows who has interest in the job.
Gillis is in the past, get over it....MTA....busted....system....no....practice.
Are you and NuckUp the same guy, I mean you make more sense, but there are similarities between you two. |

Sorry I accidentally flagged this. True, but the average career is around 4ish years. The exceptions are there, but rare when you factor in the amount of players in the league compared to the ones who get to call their own shots. I highly doubt Columbus was a port of call for Laine. |

They do when they are UFA’s and they choose playing down south. Unless a Canadian team will overpay |

Thanks Carol!
Who would lead a closed door players only meeting?
Need to start getting some W’s or they’re going to get to a point where they have to go 20-0 down the stretch. |

Flyers game postponed on Sunday three players with Covid protocol. Why was Canucks first three games not postponed when Miller and Benn were on protocol? |

Didn't he only score 1 goal last season? |

Pretty good acquisition, for what boils down to Alex Galchenyuk.
I remember many of the posters on here talked about how Montreal got burned on the trade for Domi.
Lol, some of these guys. |
