I know they are wild . I don't think it would be for Jake and sit him in the press box.
It could be Bennet and it could be Pearson.
I don't think you would have a lot of scouts unless it is a bigger name than Gauds or Jake so I am just spit balling . More than likely Pearson - VANTEL

The right side on defense for this organization is a complete tire fire.
Tyler Myers is barely an NHL defenseman
I think Vancouver has 2 right handed prospects, Jet woo, and that 7th rounder from sweden.
After 7 years, it is pretty brutal for Benning to let the right set get this bad. |

Better game. If it wasn’t their sixth loss in a row nobody would say boo. Just lost to a better team tonight. |

I honestly thought someone was joking when I read the comment about scouts in the stands.
With the covid rules etc I thought only select people allowed in the building. - Reubenkincade
You could listen to the pod cast of the game. Corey Hirsch talked about it during the first 10 minutes. Wouldn’t take long to find. Their exact words were “there are a lot of scouts here” and the scout from Boston is a really good friend of Corey’s. |

Thanks for your opinion.
Try the veal.
And buy the Jordie Benn bobblehead, it's a second by second re-enactment of the Simmonds fight. A keep sake you'll have for life. |

I see those 3 wins against the Senators are very special to you. |

Interesting.
Boston's window is closing, I would think that they would be looking at upgrading the 2nd line scoring and taking a look at JT Miller.
I would consider DeBrusk and a 1st or 2nd for that move. |

Better effort still a loss.
Calgary does not look like a team making it out of this division. If Canucks do turn it around it is probably too late but at least they looked like a NHL team again. |

i've always thought that no player should be untouchable so i'm open to trading miller. however, i'd still like to trade for debrusk with a trade centred around virtanen (if possible.)
but if they're going to be sellers (and they rightfully should be), i'd keep jtm until at least then. his value right now is cratering so build him up but also see what the market is like at the tdl.
my preferred course of action is still to maintain the core, try to get rid of deadweight and fire everyone by the end of this season. bring in a new group that can build around a good (this season obviously excepted) developing core.
obviously, this team isn't as good as many people thought but this core is not as bad as they've been playing. ride it out but get rid of this management/coaching group. |

Debrusk is a good second line player . He would be a good addition. With Hoglander playing the way he is he should be playing top line but him with Petey and Brock could be a soft line. Boeser is having a very good year. I am a little surprised and happy for him.

The management/coaching situation needs to be dealt with before any significant trades happen, as the new regime should be the ones dictating the type of players that they want to keep/acquire.
I think we may see some changes coming after this Calgary series.
Not sure what the team could get for Virtanen alone, but a 3rd might be pushing it or a reclamation project.
As much as the team has looked better these last couple games, they just aren't in the top half of the league in performance and I wonder how they would do against Ottawa, now that they have played some games together. |

I also have liked DeBrusk and think he would be a good addition. He goes to the tough areas and is responsible defensively.
I have been a bit of a Brock critic, but he has been the best player on the top offensive line all season and at both ends of the ice. |

I think we were the better team. They just got 2 REALLY lucky goals. Demko had to make several really good saves, but Markstrom had to make even more. |

I can't see the Canucks getting a 1st and a 3rd back for Miller, so wouldn't you be trading him at a loss? I don't think getting rid of him is a good idea |

i don't disagree with this.
i'm just a bit weary of trying to replace everybody mid-season. if they can get the right person (at the top), asap would be the way to go. it just seems that this team (owner) could benefit from having a serious and systematic hiring process. if they can do this mid-season, great. if it's not possible, wait until you can.
this is a domino situation though. the only question is who is the first domino? will it be a player trade, coach firing or gm firing? |

For sure.
This group is trying to play 80's Oilers hockey and are finding out it doesn't work 40 years later.
Players are faster, smarter and better than that era.
Canucks are way to predictable. |
