indeed. for sure the habs aren't playing as well as in previous games, but what we're also witnessing is other teams getting their poop together and tightening things up defensively, which probably took a bit longer than usual since there was barely any training camp and no pre-season games. they weren't gonna score 5 or 6 goals a game all season long

i thought they looked much more organized last night. not as dangerous offensively but way tighter defensively. you can be patient when you've got high end guys like they do who can break it open at any second. i know their depth guys scored last night but those 4-on-4's were the opening and Toronto dismantled Montreal on both of them and that was the game.

ok i'll bite. i completely disagree. i think his actions after the election were unconscionable and he's fully responsible for what happened on Jan 6. i think he needs to be held accountable, and the US congress needs to be on record with this.

that being said, the whole "they're terrified of Trump in 2024" makes no sense. Trump is an obese 74-year-old man who is borderline incoherent. if he's not dead by 2024, what's left of him will barely be able to swing a golf club from motorized wheelchair. secondly, since Trump took office, he's been toxic to the Republicans electoral fortunes. they lost control of the house in 2018, the senate and WH in 2020 despite both maps being favourable to their rural voter base. the Democrats nominated the most boring, uninspiring candidate they could have found in Joe Biden and he crushed Trump by about 8 million votes nationally. why in god's name would they be scared of running against that overstuffed husk in 2024?

gotta wonder if him and Tatar are stressed out by their contract situations or whatever... there are still many games to play in the season but they both need to wake the (frank) up real soon

I don't much care of American politics since politics south of the border is a zoo atm as far as I'm concerned (no offense to sensible Americans), but I dont know how it's even a discussion. He literally incited his zealots to riot. If he's not impeached it's like saying a cult leader who doesn't directly participate is not guilty.

All part of his plan to be a Hab for life on a super team friendly contract. Not scoring a goal in over 30 games is a great way to destroy the argument you can do more on offense than already shown.

Most consistent F this year is Anderson, he will be even better to watch when the crowds return

and add to that the fact that he potentially refused a 5mil/per contract (I don't think this was made official?), so now he's really starting to bite his nails and being anxious to get it going offensively

At this point I'd take that over the 0 goals a season pace he's currently playing at

thing is though he isn't as effective defensively as he used to be either, which is a concern
