I have a couple friends that talk about communism the same way and I always wonder what backwater right wing publication is misinforming their following so heavily about what communism is and isn’t.
You need to be able to identify the difference between a progressive increase in social program spending and actually seizing the means of production and re-modelling a global economy that is already structured around the exchange of currency. Well you don’t need to, but you sound stupid flaunting that word around improperly. - fry
It seems you missed the memo that the definition of communism is now any time a government wants to help the people that need it.

My Russian friend who grew up in the Soviet Union will be more than happy to come on and explain the wonders of communism and the true definition of it. Biden is the furthest thing from a communist, but like JT, he'll lean as far left as possible without totally pissing off the right of center folks who helped him get elected.
Trudeau doesn't care about that, right or center right. As long as he gets the ON and QC votes, "progressive" socialism will continue to grow.

The Soviet Union was pretty far from the true definition of communism as well. There was still a ton of capitalism in the Soviet Union and the whole dictator stuff. That's why most people think communism is some horrible thing instead of just something that's unrealistic. |

I wonder if Todd and Nucks fan still think Tanev was a bad signing? |

Sorry I think I flagged this on accident.
I was wanting to ask where you are going to go?The U.S. is putrid right now with Biden welcoming communism with open arms. Seems like this is becoming a world wide problem fast with the Elite leading the charge for a communist world... - Nomad2112
Hey man, missed your comment earlier.
Good question. i will probably go poke around Colombia for a bit although there are only a couple decent mining projects that have managed to move ahead.
And then Paraguay, as I have heard it is a pretty amazing place.
Then probably to Ontario or BC. Can't imagine there would be much work in the patch back in AB.
Been gone long enough that all my contacts are down here.

I don't think Canuck fans will argue that Markstrom/Tanev signings were bad to start, its just how good they will be in year 5+6 and years 3+4 of their respectful deals. Markstrom and Tanev were unbelievable for us last year.
Leivo was a great lowkey signing, I really like him as a bottom 6 guy who can move up when called upon. Hughes is basically flying solo right now and its sad to see. Tanev was a great D partner for him because he was so defensive-minded, it allowed Hughes to cheat and he would always cover. Hughes is playing with Benn + Myers and its really affecting his game negatively.

The Neo Socialism of Latin America has done an amazing job of distributing wealth to the rich people that created jobs, to the dictators whom are now helping all the poor people leave so they are no longer a burden on the system.
The rich people here had their way for a long time and really (frank)ed over the poor. But at least they did not go hungry.
I probably passed about 40 Venezuelans asking for money on street corners in a 20 minute drive today as well as about 10 Ecuadorians. We are in a recession but still better here than Venezuela. |

And your point is what exactly? Venezuela isn't even close to communism. They tried to model their system after the Nordic countries, which also aren't close to communism. They failed because they went all-in on oil, and there wasn't enough wealth to sustain the system when oil crashed. |

Lol I was going to post this exact tweet here myself. The best part of this to me is how Todd used tanev’s bad analytics last year to imply he was dragging Hughes down and while you can argue the Canucks as a whole have been bad, Hughes benefitted greatly from having him as a partner.

Dude, they are a Narco state. The gov't stole everything they could get their hands on and have done absolutely nothing for they people. They import gas and have the largest reserves in the world. Let me guess. You write for RT News?
Seems hockey is not the only thing you are constantly wrong about.

Again, what point are you trying to make? The government stealing everything they can get their hands on sure isn't communism. So how is anything you're saying relevant? |

Really? What would you call appropriation?
Are you one of those people who say that all these leftist dictators that preached communism never really practiced what they preach and that communism works'
Please, enlighten me. |

Since you asked to be enlightened, I can give you the quick and dirty version.
Communism isn't taking everything and keeping it.
It's crystal clear that the leftist dictators weren't/aren't practicing communism. They picked out a few ideas they thought could work and ignored the rest. The most important part they skipped over is that communism is the next step after capitalism. You can't skip the step of becoming a well-established, functioning wealthy society first. There also has to be the end goal of eliminating the state, which none of the dictators were too interested in.
One of the significant ways that Venezuela screwed things up, besides being run by corrupt dictators, is they left industry private but capped prices. That was always going to lead to disaster. Private industry definitely isn't communism and Venezuela is like 80% private.
The other thing the dictators like to ignore is that communism can't work in an isolated state. The world needs to buy in or it's going to fail.
Can communism work? Sure, in fantasy make-believe land where everyone buys in. Can it work in the world we live in? Not a chance. |

Everything. I expect to get spanked cause the Flames don't win when they should. Flames will then win the next 2 games and Van will win game 4.
You guys are the evil leftists. Your 2 hardest working players left for more money. That would make us the capitalists. |
