On the positive side, if the Canucks continue to lose regularly for a two years they will get high picks, maybe even high enough for the draft lottery. Adding a few more top flight players to replace a few aged slugs may enable the Canucks to resemble a hockey team. - Jackie Daytona

He’s starting to look like a decent 2nd round pick. |

Exactly was just thinking why does Green have Roussell on PK1? Odd. Motte and Beags are great but really it should be Sutter and Beags now. Or Horvat to get some of his sh!t together lol - LordHumungous
The bottom 6 still really sucks. That was one thing Nighthawk and myself were unhappy about was the same 6 were basically coming back.
Beagle has points in 2 more games than Sutter does. 4 out of 17 games. That's probably reasonable for a 4th liner to get a point in 1 out of every 4 games. Just not at 3M a season. Maybe 2M
The second power play has yet to score a goal. |

Except Benning ain't no Sakic - Nucker101
Sakic walked into an elite superstar in Mackinnon. To go along with Landeskog at 2 and Duchene at 3.
Benning walks into Horvat at 9. Managed to get a couple of 5's plus. |

So how many more years to show the plan works? - VanHockeyGuy
Maybe Idea of a rebuild or re-tool or re-shape of a hockey club has always been
2 years to find the bottom
2 years of being at the bottom.
2 years of rising up,
1-2 years of floundering, you either have all the right pieces or you need to make some changes but core should be in place and growing.
in year 9 you should be making in to the to game 7 of the 2nd round at least. |

Boys....just admit it, it’s time to cut bait with this franchise, they’re never going to win a Stanley Cup
“Fish or cut bait is a common English language colloquial expression, dating back to the 19th-century United States, that refers to division of complementary tasks. The use of this expression has expanded over time, sometimes including the ideas of swift decision-making (to act or not to act), and cautions against procrastination and/or indecisiveness.” - Pacificgem

Now they praise him. If organizations changed personnel as much as fans wanted. Teams would have 5-10 coaches per year and 3-4 GM's per year. |

I think Benning's days are numbered but I hope they are not stupid and bring back Gillis or Luongo.

I actually prefer it this way, much easier to recognize and skip over his posts. They aren't as wordy either |

That'd be a knee jerk reaction for sure.
I agree, I think Benning is gone. Aqua is so in tuned to the media/fans, there's no way he's going to keep Benning around. Luongo would be a joke, Gillis I could see a reason why him coming in at president with a new GM under him (like Burkie and Hextal just did)... though I'd probably rather not see him back. |

I have to say if one of those two come in. I'll be pissed off. Gillis has proven that he is just terrible at running a hockey club. People think Benning is bad for creating the future. Gillis took a future and crumbled it in 6 seasons. He took a Stanley cup contender and turning it into last team in the league in 6 seasons.
If people think that Gillis took this team to the SCF. So what, he lost. Then couldn't get them back there. |

I use the avatar approach to skip over peoples posts. Then they change their Avi and I accidentally waste my time. |

Gillis is a joke of a GM and Luong is a bigger joke.
Roberto remember when you couldn't get out of Vancouver fast enough? Thanks for the recapture penalty . |
