I think FA circles back to Dean Lombardi.

Ya that has crossed my mind too.

Tippett had that club well in a PO spot before the Plandemic cam into effect last season. Barrie has looked good and Turris OK. Yamamoto has looked good too. They should finish right behind the Leafs 2nd place in this division as predicted...They are improving a bit more than just youth.

Watch out for the Jets.

Gillis back is not the answer. Then it becomes a boys club like EDM with Lowe and such and Gillis will just bring back people who have failed him in the past. No. We are trying to change the country club mentality not continue it lol
- LordHumungous

The only ones who failed Gillis are the twins and Luongo in the 7th game. Otherwise we'd have a cup and you'd (royal you) be picking his jock sweat...

Benning's the longest gm in our sad history, it's time for a change, he's failed worse then nonis.

Didn't Lombardi give Aquilini a hard NO in the past?

Yes, hence the no experienced gm except Gillis room'rs.

FTR, I don't really want Gillis as gm, could see him as president but a Gillis Lombardi combo would be interesting.

External keyboard?

Reconfigure keyboard?
Single periods are better.

Or the return key at the end of the row, like a typewriter.

Yup, he would want autonomy like any quality candidate would, that's a sticking point.

Green doesn't care about that, he cares about how many shots they can float in from the point.

Gillis is a joke of a GM and Luong is a bigger joke.

Roberto remember when you couldn't get out of Vancouver fast enough? Thanks for the recapture penalty .

- VANTEL

Could you imagine if the Canucks hired Lulongo AND were still getting hit with the recapture, while Pronger et al were working for the NHL and still getting paid by their team but not costing cap space

lol if you'll recall I praised Gillis quite a bit for his additions to make that 2011 club the best team in Hockey. There was more to that loss than Gillis/Luongo lol

But Gillis did handcuff the club for almost a decade with 9-10 NTC's very similar to what the Flames did after their cup run in 2004...and they paid for it for a decade. Some may want Gillis back as Pres...I don't.

Also true they have stepped up. Hopefully when the meat/potatoes games really hit their bottom 6 and 2-3 D pairings can keep up. It can be a weak spot for them much like EDM lol
