Travis Green says Jayce Hawryluk will be activated today but doesn't sound like he's going to play tonight.

Likely Virtanen and Eriksson join the Beagle line.

Virtanen Beagle Eriksson. I only reason I can come up with that these 3 players belong on a line together would be they are just the last 3 spare parts and all 3 other lines are really clicking and doesn't want to screw them up.

"We have to put players in positions to succeed," Green says about the notion of perhaps dressing Taxi Squadders like Rathbone or Michaelis. They've thought about it but also notes they haven't had a ton of practice time, let alone fact they haven't played any professional games.

Yup, and that disconnect filters right down through the organization.

I think the problem with Benning is he started out with a boatload of TERRIBLE work (Sutter, Erickson, Beagle, Roussel) then all the real good work he did (ie: drafting) rounding into form, Ownership did not allow him to undo his terrible work (ie: buyouts, salary retention, etc) to flesh round out the roster (keeping Toffoli, signing Hoffman) and not we're in a rut

Going to lose the best value years on all the youth and not have a complete roster because all that value is being wasted on equal if not worst waste on the other parts of the roster

That and a HUUUUGE whiff on Holtby

Problems can clear themselves up next season.

Virtanen scores best with playing with Gaudette. Green refuses to have JV and AG on the same line together because he needs PK guys in Sutter and Beagle who when they played with each other, were 3rd tier German good.

JB either needs to make trades to give TG a team that fits his style or TG needs to play to the strengths of his team.

He could be useful to Utica considering they were playing with 4 RHD in the first couple of games.

Yeah, Vantel is right about TG probably pushing for Beagle and some other vets but then you see how Virtanen’s career has played out and you wonder why Benning hasn’t traded him since clearly TG and JV are a terrible fit.

Schaller is all Benning from BUFF & BOS.
