Myers with another very good game, Edler and Schmidt were also very solid. Amazing what happens when they reduce the minutes of the PP defender.

I think the biggest difference tonight was the D corps being on top of their game. Knowing when to pinch and when to sit back and not getting beat on silly plays.

Now that OJ is much more assertive in breaking up plays, it allows Myers to scoop up pucks better and have a better range.

Like last year it started with "end of November", then when he didn't get the losing result he was looking for, it got pushed back to "after xmas", then "end of Jan"....

Leafs first back to back is next week - we've played 4 already. But no excuses we gotta keep playing the way we did tonight and the last 2 games. Much better efforts and a lot closer to what this team is capable of.

Yeah it takes time. I said a few games ago too early to tell but we are getting closer to the drop dead date. I like the effort of these last few games if they can continue to build.
