Huddy will not be gone. He’s got the best job in the NHL, 100% job security. It boggles my mind that when head coaching opportunities open up in the NHL that Huddy is rarely mentioned as a candidate for any other position, this despite him being with the franchise for that last 10 years. The penalty kill has been atrocious in 9 of his 10 years coaching it. The Jets have finished in the bottom half of the league as well in high danger shots against for the same period, even when we had Trouba, Byfuglien, Myers, Chariot and Enstrom playing on the backend. Unfortunately Huddy will only go when Huddy decides its his time to go.

I'm more than ready to see Huddy fired. I've never really been a big fan of the Jets defensive system the last few years. In particular, the defensive coverage lacks pressure on the high points, and teams exploit that flaw constantly leading to way to many deflection type goals.

Appleton is playing well, but I’d like to see Vesalainen get more work instead.

I am happy that Connor and Ehlers played together tonight. Always thought them to together could be something amazing. I am seeing a Kariya-Selanne combination developing between them two. Ehlers for sure will score 50 over a typical 82 game schedule. The man is just ridiculous.

And Gustafsson, how long are we going to let a young developing player that should be playing sit on the taxi squad?

Vesalainen is still waiver exempt, if they feel they must have Thompson in the lineup I sure hope they send Vesa and Gus to the Moose to play a lot of minutes, terrible to have them not playing at this point, can call up Dano if he's healthy to be the 13th/14th forward or be a taxi squad forward along with Toninato.

When Dubois comes back and if no other injuries happen is Harkins going to be the odd man out??

Last time I checked, he was 33% on faceoffs. Maybe that's why he wasn't a center here.
