Flames actually don't deserve to win this
- hockey4hockey

Weren’t going to win them all but wow. The inconsistency continues.

The coach excuse is getting old but ward clearly doesn’t have a clue.

Chucky looks totally disengaged.

Flames will be jockeying for position with the Senators and Canucks. All the pre game talk the Flames were saying we have to be ready. (frank) if Rittich was in net this game would be 7-1. (frank) hockey, (frank) Covid and (frank) that mother (frank)ing troll chucky whip

Ward Sucks We need a real coach.
Chucky needs to man up and play like he use to.
Gio is so bad now.
Marky is the only bright spot in tonite's game... if it was Rittich, yeah i agree it would have been much worse.
The inconsistency is just crazy frustrating... like wow
Well for any teams looking to snap out of loosing streak... play the Flames

How do you expect to win a game with that kind of effort
Like yeah i get it we have a legit number 1 goalie... don't let him stand on his head every game

What the heck was that?!
Why bother going into the ice? Just send Markstrom out and let him get shelled all night. It would have been the same.
Tkachuk looks like he’s playing with only 1 leg. No one can pass, and instead of shooting the puck they went for the cross seam pass every time just for a Canuck player to pick it up.
I can’t even.

Yep. When healthy Markstrom will stop most of what he sees. But when he approaches 45-50- shots he will get a little leaky like most goalies at that shot pace hence the Myers winning goal. We are pretty used to seeing that lol

Hes the least of your guys problems last night, I think he was the best player on your team by far. That's the worst team effort I've seen from the Flames in a long time, marky was hung out to dry.

Yeah I was thinking last night watching the game...man I wish Nesty was on the ice to turn the table our way....idiot. The problem wasn’t the low impact 3rd pairing
Dman but more of a leadership, coaching and consistency thing.

He's not your problem I'm just telling you how it is. I've watched the guy for 5 seasons now and know what to expect. When healthy he's fantastic but he will get leaky at times...just reality man lol

Hey (frank)tard! You don’t think it does anything to the guys in a room when you’ve won 3 in a row and you make changes to the lineup? Especially because there was no injury. It was the wrong move, not saying it’s why they lost but...

Lineup decisions aside, what exactly did the coach do to turn the tide?
Backlund played most of the first, but nothing was adjusted.
Coach said he noticed about 10 minutes into the game that the play was not good.
At that point, I think we were being outshot by about 10-0.
And nothing changed.
No timeout.
No lineup adjustments.
Roll 4 lines almost equally; most Lindholm 10 shifts, least Leivo 5.
Big change comes after Backlund is injured.

No effort according to the coach.
Not skating, bla bla bla.
Take a look at how we tried breakouts.
Looked like poor execution of a flawed system.

The idiocy in this thread is approaching all-time highs. One loss and it's suicide watch again. Never mind the fact that they're 3-1 against the Canucks and have outscored them 12-7. Nevermind the fact that the Canucks are an extremely desperate team, which makes them dangerous. Nevermind the fact they'll probably blow them out tomorrow.

And bench Gaudreau for his turnovers? What do you think happens with every offensive player that teams run their offence through? Just a couple names who turn the puck over at a higher clip, Hanifin, Tkachuk, Barzal, Svechnikov, Crosby, Stone (the good one), Pastrnak, Marner, Malkin, Tavares. And Draisaitl and McDavid are right where Gaudreau is as far as turnovers go. Yeah, makes sense to bench the only guy creating offence.

It's one bad game that likely leads to another winning streak. They've still got third in the division pretty much locked up, and will probably be in the hunt for the division when they start getting their Ottawa games.
