No no no. You’re doing it wrong. You have to just slide in jabs. You can’t come at him like that or he’ll just keep going.

Worse yet, look at the shot chart vs the Oilers and the one against the Canucks - the Flames shots are largely from the outside. There is 1 game in the 5 below where they dominated the quality of chances. In literally every other game, they allow their opponent easy access to the front of the net and high danger scoring areas.

Markstrom has been mostly great, JG, CT, NH, EL have been really good but the team as a whole has been average and average is just not good enough anymore for me.
Its time to play really good for a long stretch.... like 15-20 games!

Yes, again, if you totally ignore the fact that they take entire periods off at a time, they've been "fine".

I agree that the month started well. You can't in good conscience think that they've played well in 3 out of the last 4 games.

10-16 and 10-14 vs the Nucks?

Look at what Toronto did to them in 3 games. Destroyed them. The Flames get to town and all of a sudden, they are generating chances out their ass and shutting the Flames down for vast stretches at a time. The Flames played some real bad hockey the last two games in particular and got lucky they got 1 win out the 2.
