no mention of Mete's great game?..or how much better Romanoff looked last night after a string of sub par games playing with Kulak?...can't see how they keep Mete out of the lineup

It really isn't... it's pretty much why I always had a D prospect in any trade proposal over the last 2 years lol!

Do you think Romanov will be a top 2 defenseman on this team at some point?

would be great if some of their d prospects ended up doing something at some point.

at least Bergevin did a good job with trades with his top 4 and guys like Romanov and hopefully Guhle will end up playing an important role for this team.

but what does that mean exactly?
Ben Chiarot (who has problems pivoting on his left side) is playing top 2 !

yes and that would be great in my opinion. But I think people will expect more offense from Romanov. He may never deliver as much as some people would like, but we'll see I guess.

he has a good shot, but so far I find his passing to be a bit weak. not in his zone but in the offensive zone. he is still pretty young though. very promissing.

he just needs to adapt to the NHL style of play, pace and physicality. The quality in the KHL has dropped dramatically in the last few years.

I don't think he was used very well over there either. They knew he would come in the NHL sooner rather than later and treated him poorly because of it.

So yeah, he just needs some time.

20 y/o, 10 games in... he'll be good,
he can hit, skates very well, head is up all the time, has a good shot... may never be a QB, but a very reliable top4 dman imo.

Hard to say with such a small sample to draw from but he certainly looks like he has all the makings of a top 4D

He may become similar to Markov but more physical

meh... Markov was a way, way, way better passer.
I think he'll be more like a Emelin, a bit better.

Markov was so great in that area. The plays he made were really good for a defenseman and that was with a bunch of forwards not that good.

I think he will be way better than Emelin, the latter hits like a truck and that was pretty much it

it's just that Markov was such a good passer, you set the bar pretty high imo.
let say a mix between Emelin and Markov

maybe, but his vision was so good. He made Souray and Streit look like amazing defensemen out there.
