Nope I didn't hear it, but that doesn't surprise me at all.

Even with the vaccine this is going to drag on for another year.

And the "All canadians who wants it will be vaccinated by the end of September" Trudeau quote...well, I don't believe it one bit.

I'm not against confinement measures, on the contrary...but the CAQ government hides behind the pandemic for issues that's been hindering their health system for a long time. That drives me kinda nuts.

...and don't get me started on CHSLDs.

- stinger67

Oh i know it’s not surprising and im not against the measures either but it’s just getting very long and depressing...Been working from home for 340 days now, that’s insane... at first i thought i’d be back in the office within a month...

Doubt it too unless the Sens decide to annoy Bergevin... Byron is from around there and played his junior in Gatineau...in a tough year for the Sens bringing some local talent may be a fan pleasing move...we’ll see...

Anyone else hear the quebec director of public health say on the radio this morning that we can forget a return to normal for 2021? I find this really depressing
- Karine Hains

can't say I'm surprise

people don't want to hear this (I know) but I'll say it anyway :

we are not supposed to get back to normal, like ever. Some key public figures (like the head of WEF) said so themselves publicly

if people want to sit on their hands and wait, things will only get worse

it's up to 2 masks now (they are pushing for this)

Amazing how this can be predicted in mid February.

Also this could just mean we're wearing masks until 2022

- mr.peanut

masks are a thing, but it's just a key element among many others.

A lot of businesses will die sooner rather than later. It's already a done deal for a bunch of them

+, they are pushing for their great reset. That's not going back to normal

If it can help you a little.

Things have been pretty much under control in the CHSLD for months now.

Not perfect.

But under control.

Why wouldn't we? Once the vaccine has been given to everyone I mean.

What possible reason could there be not to go back to normal?

And with the sens, they aren't trading anyone you'd want while I doubt a team like VAN will be selling guys cheap

yeah i don't understand that line of thinking either. even with the variants, the vaccines will still have a huge effect on suppressing cases and more importantly, hospitalizations/death. and the vaccines will have to be updated on a regular basis maybe. and then we just have to accept the fact that this is another virus that will not go away and will kill thousands of people per year in the country.

the issue though is vaccine rollout which is turning into a (frank)ing nightmare because we cant produce any, the Americans won't send us a drop and we're at the mercy of the EU until we can build our structures here. this was a catastrophic failure on our governments over the previous decades, for a country as wealthy as Canada to be so unprepared for this.

Agreed.

It's about time we make sure we are independent on vital things like medecine.

Hopefully they'll have learned from this. Maybe stop selling our water so cheap to water bottle companies too?

And that is why we are getting Crosby.

The problem is not wealth it’s power, Canada will always be a little brother and at the mercy of the US. It’s pathetic how Australia can live normal lives where we in Canada cannot
