With 30 points in 17 games and the Oilers in a playoff position it looks like McDavid has a lock on the Hart Trophy if he can stay healthy. In terms of his on-ice product, he was the most successful General Manager in Canucks history, so I don't get the hatred. As for his personality, ok, that's easy to understand.

Sure he was gifted the Sedins, Kesler, Bieksa, Burrows, Edler and Luongo, but Brian Burke was gifted Bure, Mogilny, Linden, Naslund, Ohlund, Bertuzzi and McCabe...all of them were in their mid 20's to early 20's. Brian Burke never got past the second round, ever!
