Awwww, you guys make me sad. You really do. I mean, I get it. Last night was your SuperBowl. But you need to understand that, for Leafs fans, it’s not the same. The Sens aren’t seen as a threat, or a true rival.

Leafs fans aren’t upset today, or worried. It’s adorable that your little group of try-hard nobodies defied the odds.

Leafs took their foot off the gas and let things slip away, because they don’t take the Sens seriously. Nor should they. I mean, look at the standings...

This will be a weird year for these prospects because of inconsistencies in the leagues they play in.

Sens should draft a dman. Based on the way they’ve been drafting...bloodline may play a factor once again :p

Also, this list is a bit messed. No Räty in the top 10 let alone 15? Unless he’s 9th or 10th and it cut.

And Berniers at 1? At the moment I’d probably take Eklund over him.

Power’s intrigue is his size and he’s a good skater. But it’s gna be tough.

Brandt Clarke can go first.

Heck, we might see the top 3 players being dmen (Power, Clarke, Hughes)

- Trilla

Raty has dropped down a lot peoples lists recently. Be very interesting to see where he winds up.

I think Power has all the makings of a first over all pick, so far.

Looking at Dadanov's OT goal, when it was in Ottawa end, Dadanov totally tripped Marner... but I'm fine with that

Haha

Right off a cliff and into a sea of laughter.

Maybe the Habs started the fragile downfall?

Losing Simmonds might end up hurting you guys...

Speaking of hurting...how’s Muzzin doing? Lol

Anyways, Leafs will be fine. But still hilarious.

i mean sure, if you ignore every article, tv station, twitter, facebook, hockeybuzz, and just about everywhere that leaf fans are.........you probably don't think they're upset or worried.

Being in rebuild mode without huge expectations can be great fun.

I don't know about that... Marner looks like he collided with Paul's skate when they both went after the loose puck. Given that Paul had his back turned already, it's hardly what you could call tripping. Now, Marner's stick does kind of hit Dadonov in the process, but that doesn't look like it had much to do with why he fell. It's kind of too bad that led to the winning GA, because it was a hell of a slick move that Marner made to bring the puck in front of the net... though my sympathy for a team that blows a 5-1 lead isn't very high.

Regardless, it's great to see a win like this. It looks like Dadonov, Murray, Watson, and Gudbranson are settling in, and actually providing some of the veteran support Dorion was looking for. Meanwhile, the team is finally starting to find its sense of identity and pride, led first and foremost by the team's young stars. Still lots of work ahead, of course - but another positive step.

What's with Colin White? Has he regressed? Maybe needs a change of scenery?

A lot of speculation his really good season had a lot to do with Mark Stone playing on his wing.

I think he's looked a lot better the past two or three games though, so maybe he's just taken some time to find his game.

White had a rough year in 2019/20 (including a significant injury), and was a bit of a training camp scapegoat - but has really started to find his stride. He's got 5pts in his last 9GP playing a 2nd/3rd line role, and is starting to re-establish himself as one of the team's better overall C. Given the team depth in terms of #2/3C, it's not impossible that he could be traded, but it won't be done for pennies-on-the-dollar return. He's quite capable of being an effective RW, and just isn't the kind of player they need to be moving anytime soon.

he's been arguably one of, if not the best forward on the team the last 7-8 games. paul-white-dadonov have been the teams best line by far since coming back from the west coast trip

I think the Hawks are gonna move Strome in the offseason and I was just curious about players that he could be potentially traded for.

Agree. White has been solid - even if he's not producing to the level of a 2nd line C on a cup contender, he's been better. Now he needs to play up to his contract

Ottawa fans better start making posters when the fans return to the buildings being like:

“We Are the 0.1%!!!”

That was their statistical probability of OTT winning last night at the end of the 2nd period. Carolina had a better shot of winning the night that David Ayers played. Works on so many levels given the team, fan base size, average fan stadium attendance ratio, what people generally think about people in Ottawa. Dude, this should be our freaking team motto!!

Sens fans enjoy a good ol fashioned hockey gods moment and this is the type of moment in a franchise’s history which makes you realize even that pantheon of titans are sometimes on your side, even when the league, refs, and your own owners and roster vets often don’t seem like it.

#0.1!!!!!!! 🤣

Gee, I guess there really is a Belleville Senators AHL season after all... to those who thought that wasn't going to happen for some reason.

Unfortunately, the B-Sens have kind of sucked out of the gate...
https://www.hockeydb.com/...ons/teams/0081582021.html

- nice to see Lassi Thomson and Ridley Greig with some early production
- zero points for Logan Brown and Filip Chlapik is a bit discouraging
- the combined -10 for Alsing/Goloubef is pretty terrible

Obviously it's still early, but this should be a year where we see a pretty clear separation of guys like Brown, Abramov, Formenton, and Chlapik from the rest of the team, at least offensively. Anything less than that will probably raise justifiable doubt about the future of those players with the organization.

I have heard Greig has looked great. Promising news, especially considering the lack of hype around that pick at the time of the draft.

Heard Brown didn't do a whole lot and may be injured now which would be quite a disappointment.

Will be interesting to see if players can get in a groove for a call up.
