Hes played well I think he will start to get some points too playing with Nelson and eberle - Upstate_isles
I have a strong feeling 20pts would be a big year for him (in an 82 game season)
I really struggle to understand what exactly anyone saw in him to think he was even a first round pick, let alone a top 5 pick. |

Fine in bottom 9. Not good in top 6. Hmmmm....... 9 + 6 = 15

It's really bizarre.
I'm glad I do not follow the draft that closely. FA seasons is aggravating enough. |

The draft write up on him that someone posted the other day made him seem like a can’t miss, highly skilled offensive player Sounded like they were describing Jack Eichel or Patrick Kane 😆 |

I had to look at that report a few times to make sure I was not seeing things. |

Maybe he was playing against 5 year olds?
This is like the 89 draft. Islanders drafted Dave Chyzowski and he was going to be the next Bossy. |

Love the guy.. what a perfect fit with this team. Can you imagine if we got Stone too.. the 2 guys that Lou really wanted would have been perfect for this system.

He had a terrible first 30 games with Oshawa, only had 8g and 25pts in 30gp but then he got traded to Kingston and put up 27g and 55pts in the next 30gp |

I thought Wahlstrom had his best game last night, he played well.
I will also continue to disagree with a lot of people here about Dal Colle. He's clearly not going to create offense ever, but he forechecks really well and does a lot of little things. He doesn't belong in a top-6 role, but I think he is a perfectly fine option for a bottom-6 spot. Especially as some of the fourth line guys start to approach the end of their tenure with the Isles. - eichiefs9
I don't mind MDC as a fill in for injuries like a Kuhnackl. Just would rather a Bellows b/c of the offensive upside potential. Thought he played well when he was up here.. MDC is a perfect taxi guy.

Gets worse when u look at who was drafted in that round after him too... https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl2014e.html we had 2 first round picks and took MDC and JHS. smh ...only solace is we took Sorokin in 3rd and some guy namde Devon Toews in 4th.

He will get a look this year if someone gets injured or Mayfield and Leddy start to struggle again. Kid had a great camp and if he keeps this up he deserves to get a look before anyone on the Taxi squad IMO. |

I believe that's 2g 3a in 4 games for him. Certainly a nice start |
